Story: Cyclops, Colossus, Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, or Dazzler. Their objective is to stop the villain Magneto from wreaking havoc on human civilization. They must fight through enemies from the comics such as an army of hundreds of Sentinels, mutant crocodiles, Reavers and supervillains such as Pyro, Blob, Wendigo, Nimrod, The White Queen, Juggernaut, and Mystique. Later, Magneto kidnaps Professor X and Kitty Pryde, prompting the heroes to go on a rescue mission. The heroes fight their way to Island M and ultimately to Magneto's base on Asteroid M where the final battle takes place.
X-Men is an arcade game produced by Konami in 1992. It is a side-scrolling beat 'em up based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name. Konami made a six-player version of the game utilizing two screens housed in a deluxe cabinet.

Back in the day my friend was surprised to see there was a 6 player version since he only saw the 4 player version. had to show him it when we went to the arcade at the mall we used to go to.

My dad would take me and my siblings to Papa Gino's when we visited him on the weekends, and we'd all eat pizza and then play this game there. I miss those times.

This was my #1 go to arcade everytime I go to the malls, outer town highway road plazas. Gosh, I miss the 90's
I've never seen this played with six players before. the dual screen cabinet is impressive.

Never got to play this 6p but I did play Ninja Turtles 4p at a birthday party as a kid. Really feels like cheating as it’s pretty easy to beat it with all that help
@@EdgleyGames , as have I, and my small town actually had a working 6-player cabinet of the game as well. Also, fun fact, but if you got this game on the PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Xbox Series S/X on the PlayStation Network, or through Xbox Live, then you can play the game with up to 6 players, not just on the same video game system, via a pair of multi-taps with regular controllers, as well as with arcade sticks, through LAN either way, or online either way as well. There are some graphical differences, but it pretty much plays like this game. Also, in the Japanese versions of those versions of the game, or the arcade game, there is a pink and white Sentinel enemy that you can beat that can give you either another Mutant Power Capsule or Life Energy.
@@mikeg2491 , I literally beat TMNT I (Arcade) with just $USD 2.00 the first time that I played the game. Other people were playing, but I was attacking the Foot Clan like I was foreshadowing The Raid movies. The older kids, including my older brother, literally told me to let them have some of the bad guys to fight as well, but once 9 year old me was in that zone, the Foot Clan knew that the random Southern carpetbagger boy that was playing as Donatello was a walking WMD that they should have known better to face that day. Ironically, Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon is a magnitude harder than TMNT and it took me the equivalent of $USD 7.25 to beat that game, but I only played that game recently because it is a hard to find game. The mob tactics that are in that game are like the ones that are in Spartan X/Kung Fu/Kung Fu Master, some of the bosses are really cheap, like the first pair of bosses, Castor and Pollux, are like super tough versions of the Mutants/Cells from (Rival Turf 3:) The Peace Keepers/Rushing Beat Shura or the whip enemies from Streets of Rage 2/Bare Knuckle II, or Streets of Rage 3/Bare Knuckle III. The flying youma boss is like Jet from the previously mentioned video games, and, yes, two or more of them are bad as well. Seriously, all of the bosses are cheap with their attacks, and Queen Beryl is like a combination of The Dark Queen from the first NES/FDS Battletoads game and Tybalt/Velk from (Rival Turf 3:) The Peace Keepers/Rushing Beat Shura. Both bosses are annoying and difficult on their own, but combine them together, and it makes for a very rough time. Were I to have a character in the game, though, then she would learn the subtleties of the arts of professional wrestling and street fighting.

Amen, this was one of my favorite arcade games back in the day. I had such nostalgic feelings that I bought it on Xbox live arcade. Unfortunately, Konami apparently removed the rights for any system beyond the Xbox 360 to play it. So on my Xbox One and Xbox One X, I can't play it, because it was removed. I was understandably very irritated by this decision

I never thought of just ghosting the other characters so even though You're by yourself you can control all 6
Weird how you control all six of them together.
This was one of my favorite X-Men games. I’m so sad. They never made it on a console.
