On the base near the red spot is a hole that was used for holding a small marker pin made of steel. Just FYI, They are easily lost hence this ones absence.

I have the exact same one. Great tool. Yours is missing the "Scoring tool". It threads into the cast frame, just below the level. Nice resto, great job. Love your videos.

U should have applied black nail paint on the ruler and wiped it off.. Then the nail paint would seep into markings making it easier to read the length..
