- This timelapse documents the start to finish van conversion of our 1983 Ford Econoline campervan. We spent 10 weeks remodeling our vintage campervan to fix issues and update to our style.
We learned so much through this project as we had very minimal experience with construction or decorating when we started. We are VERY PROUD of this van conversion and the end result that is now our full-time home.

Great renovation, and who better than your significant other to share with. I did like the backsplash, my question is, in the entry way, the steps leading into the van(rug) don’t you think that splash of pop would have been great to tie into the inside? Just wondering But I love it!!
Eric and Sarah, the van looks better than when it was new. The reason why the rebuild went so smooth is because both of you like things done the right way. Not too many folks are as hard working and conscientious as you! The time lapse video showed you had to be a glass repairman, wall paper hanger, painter, carpenter, plumber, and bed maker. I would not have believe it, if I had not seen the videos of your van rebuild!

We loved this! Your van looks absolutely incredible and we're so proud of you!! You've both really worked so hard (and intensely!) You have had to learn so many different job roles to be able to produce such a beautiful finish, and it seems like it went way more smoothly than a lot of other van-lifers - you've been very thorough and it looks as though you've not even had other hands on deck! It's all a 'Boms Away' original refurb! Well Done guys, truly. This is admirable. We love it! Not watched all of your videos for this project (yet!) but do you have a financial layout of how much it all cost? ( I know you guys are very thorough and smart with your spending, and you'd pay more for things that need the quality, and you'd budget where you can afford to not need the 'best' items, so it would be really interesting to see) all the best guys, here's to the new chapter!

I have a 1983 E250 also! Mine was already gutted when I got it so it's nice to see what some original features look like. Slowly but surely working on it. I love seeing other older vans on here getting some love.
How long is your slatted bed? We are trying to decided whether to make that the primary sleeping area or build a convertible couch/bed in the back. Thanks!
So cool!!! Our slat bed is 74 inches from the front. Fits a double mattress. Could possibly fit a queen, but we use a double.
