- The Monster Hunter journey to end our Monster Hunter Careers! BBake and Frost travel back to 2008 as they tackle Monster Hunter Freedom Unite with the distinct goal of taking down the last eight large monsters they have yet to beat in the entire mainline franchise. While this may complete their hunting careers for now, Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing on February 28, 2025. Once this time has come, BBake and Frost will be compelled to undergo yet another epic adventure to complete their Monster Hunter careers once more.

My friend and I always talk about finally getting around to finishing G Rank in Unite and beating Terra Shogun, Copper Blango and Yama Tsukami, the last three monsters that we still have yet to fight across the whole series. We’re both in G1 so we’re actually pretty close, just need to finally commit to doing it 😂
That's so cool to hear you were in a similar situation to us, you'll have to update us if you ever get around to beating them!
I'm in a similar situation, I got addicted to the series at World and went back to play the older games over the following year
I've now gone through MHGU, MH4U, MH3U and MH Freedon 1 but I took a friend with me into Freedom Unite to lessen the burnout I was feeling and he gave up near the end of low rank so I stopped playing and never got to fight those exact monsters
glad to see that y'all accompished this before wilds, its a great feat!
I also love that i can spot my two hunters in the 229 monsters, just at the top left curve on the second 2.

Absolutely relatable. We would do a similar thing with jotting down weapons we wanted to craft. We had a goal of crafting the highest element and ailment for each type of weapon.
The effort you've put into the editing is insane and demands the respect of all fellow hunters

Yama Tsukami did not originate from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. He originally appeared in Monster Hunter 2. They reworked his fight in MHFU with the fight changing a lot and he can only be fought on 1 map in MHFU compared to 2 in MH2.

1:33:50 when Yama hovers in the lower area, you’re supposed to jump on his back use a bug net for rare thunder bug drops & place anti dragon bombs on him for damage

In terms of future videos, all I can say is that the release of MHWilds means our hunting careers will be incomplete once more, and we simply can’t let that stand.

Nice! Would’ve loved to see your journey through Rise/Sunbreak and Gen Ultimate as well.
Final montage made me feel things, because i relate to each and every clip.
I played this entire game solo aside from event quests and High Rank White Fatalis, and all 3 G rank Fatalis.
I never had anyone to play with.
Ukanlos and certain multi monster quests including Diablos and Tigrex were a nightmare.
Akantor is actually pretty easy once you know how to fight it.
Metal Raths were also terrible
Awesome video. I just hit high rank on my own playthrough. Bring life powder to rescue hunters that got hit by Yama tsunamis sucking vortex attack.
If that is one thing that we were good at, it was being underprepared. Lifepowders would have been extremely helpful.

MHFU will always be close to my heart love all those fights
I think we can say the same now after playing through it for this journey. It feels like there is something special about this game in how it was designed and the overall gameplay. It can be a little jarring at first, but once you get a hang of it, it gets addicting.
@BakeNation_MH very addicting I use to Speedrun MHFU I got at least 2000 hours on playtime! It is special although back when I was speed running we had people cheating by using a hacked cat named Dora the cat did 40000 damage per swing and people were acting like it was their skill not a hacked cat named Dora lol 🤣🤣

Yall should try Frontiers. It's amazing. There's ways to get it back up and running now, plenty of tutorials online. Great video by the way, didn't even realize yall were brothers til the Yama fight.
As it turns out, we literally just started playing Frontier about 2 weeks ago. We are really enjoying ourselves so far, and it has been awesome to fight a ton of new monsters!
@BakeNation_MH It has some of my favorite monsters in it. I hope yall do some videos on the tougher ones. Especially Unknown, that's my favorite in the series as a whole.

@@athos9293 possibly the Lao Shung lungs move alot in their ecology they never stay in one area we shall see!
@@drakeshotplays Lao in the overworld would be insane. Just imagine you're chilling in the Windward Plains, and then a message pops up on the right side of the screen saying "Lao Shan Lung has appeared". So you open the enviroment overview screen and his icon alone takes up HALF of it
Just use different weapons for different monsters based on two things one, the monsters moveset and two your moveset

Yeaaa, that was my mistake.
I didn’t realize it came out in Dos since I had never interacted with the game. Furthermore, The first time Yama Tsukami could be hunted in a MH game that released in the U.S. was in Freedom Unite, which is why I thought that. I apologize for stating its true origin incorrectly.
