Not sure if this is still active or not but, do you have any idea why the left side of my hood leave a 1/2 inch gap compared to the right side when fully closing the hood?
Thanks for the tutorial ! Do you know if the R53 Cooper S hood with xenon headlights is different from the hood without xenon headlights ? I need a new hood and I found one with that said it's for xenon headlights, but I have halogens.
For the Cooper S, if the previous owner just lost the title, you could try getting an indemnity bond and you may be able to register it. Of course fix the clutch too.
Yes, I considered that, but you have to almost pull the motor to change the clutch on these. Plus the car is from out of state complicating the indemnity bond process. In the end I decided to just have some fun taking it apart while sprucing up our old dependable Mini. Thanks to eBay its donor parts are spread across the Country now.
Thank you so much sir! I've been meaning to swap my hood after a tree fell on my car, but didn't want to take it into a shop. You are a life saver
Great tutorial very well explained. Thank you
I’ve never related more to a voiceover abt kicking a yappy dog😂🤣
Thank you for uploading this. A deer jumped in front of my car on the highway... So time to replace my hood I guess :(
Quite literally same thing here
Quite literally just happened to me last night
Same bros

Do you still have the upper and lower grilles? I am also willing to buy the steering wheel airbag and center arm rest. I'm near Raleigh NC. Thanks
@@carsonbethea1953 Hey Carson, sorry those sold pretty fast. Good luck finding your parts!
