I love waking up to chirping birds too. When we visited Costa Rica, we heard so many animals in the rain forest and it was so wonderful. Hahaha so funny that you added BEE to that list!
What a great travel experience, and adventurous destination. Ha you need a lot more patience for birding. BEE lol. Very nice shots later plus the dudes! Oh no about the debit card. Fun evening and being part of the show.
Your commentary with all of the b-roll had me mesmerized! Your videos have gone up to another level! You made it in the bird stand 5 minutes longer that I would have made it, hahaha. The BBQ and dance looks like such a great experience. Gambia looks like a amazing adventure! I have been to 49 countries and have never seen a place like Gambia. I will have to come visit in person myself!
Thanks Wayne! I'm really happy you think I've improved. I think I have too. Haha yeah birding maybe isn't for you then 😂 49 countries?! Wowie, beats me. You must make it to Africa some day ;)
Definitely! I would hop on a plane there tomorrow if I found the right deal :-D Too bad I wasn't vlogging when I started traveling to so many countries, haha!
Love the detail on how you tell your stories in your travel vlogs! It's awesome how you show what life is like in Gambia, especially seeing their culture. We have yet to visit Africa, but there's so many choices from Namiba, Egypt, Morroco, South Africa...hard to decide. Looks like you guys had a great experience in this country!
Good thing that the bee wasn't interested to sting you. So many birds at your place! I'm glad that you got your debitcard back from the guy. Well... you guys are clearly talented dancers 😂.... But it's a cool show. My girlfriend showed me a lot of videos of these dances.
Damn it Rob, dropping spoilers ;) No one knows I collected my debit card successfully yet 😂 I'm sure your girlfriend thought my dancing was spot on! 😝 No, don't show her - she will probably laugh too much!
Looks wonderful. Love the way you implemented the "previously" part.. Fitting music for these cinematic shots. The animals are amazing! Especially liked the close up shots of all the birds.
You captured so much beauty. Loved your story telling. The birds singing was nice. The food looked really good. Glad y'all had no issues with the officers. It is cool they have a list of what you could see, but I too wouldn't know what it is I saw lol. Mini Dude up close and personal.
I love it when the title sequence kicks in for these videos, it gets me so hyped up for a new episode! Bottomless tea? Living the dream!! Loved the bird watching segment, that lens is a beast haha. I think I’d be able to spot a bee as well to be fair… You got some amazing shots of the birds and lizards in the end. I’m guessing the lens has good stabilisation? Because the shots are crazy nice. The BBQ night looked like so much fun, good job getting up and joining the dance!
Thank you! Yes, it does have good stabilisation which helps a lot as I probably could win an award for 'shakiest hand during filming'. Filming in 180 fps helps with the stabilisation as well 😝
Omg that lizard in the room would’ve had me out of there lol. I had a lizard in my room in Costa Rica and called the front desk to come get it lol. So we ended up chasing outside. But this looks like quite the experience! I loved the bbq and late night dancing! It’s also nice they called about your debit card.
Mmm, the pancakes, prawns, and banana chips looked so tasty. Ugh, I hate it when I need cash and don't have it! It's so easy to forget. Great advice about the police road blocks and when and where to film. Haha, I totally wouldn't have the patience for birding. Reminds of fishing ;p Wait forever for a brief siting then gone. Glad to see your efforts finally paid off. Oh no, so glad they let you know about your debit card. Mmm, Friday night bbq! So fun that you joined in on the dance.
Yeah it's so hard to balance the right amount of cash cause you don't want too much either! Yeah any activity to do with animals requires a lot of patience! 😛
"Look, a wild man!" lol. I think I would have lost my patience too, I do love birds but I think maybe not knowing what I was looking for might make have made me prefer to head back too. :D Oh my gosh, so sorry you had to go back to town but so lucky the guy kept your card and sent you that message! Imagine how tough things would have been if it had been stolen or picked up by someone. The musicians and dancers were awesome. I love that people kept arriving from the village to join in.
Being new to Gambia is not something that easy because most African people tried to get much more money from you I suggest you find a Gambian friend or someone from an outside country that knows so much about Gambia and you can trust them, I'm new to your video and I like it it's pretty cool but you should try visiting bakau the crocodile pool and Fajara
I am new to The Gambia but I have travelled to a fair few places and am always learning more and more about tactics to get more money from me. It was actually a lot better for that than Namibia where I felt like everyone wanted money from me for everything.
When you visit The Gambia you should know that especially if you are white that EVERYONE wants something from you. I was going around for a walk and a man was walking with me (I didnt ask him to join) and when I return towards my hotel he wanted money because he walked with me lol.
I'm sorry about your experience. I think when you visit a touristic part of any country, you can expect hassle. Elsewhere in The Gambia there is next to no hassle. I wasn't hassled once, even on the beach. The 'bumsters' on the tourist strip sound a bit annoying but I think it's about knowing how to handle them. Look confident, be clear you don't want anything but still be friendly :) I get hassled in European cities and on Caribbean islands - it's annoying but what happens when tourism increases. I need to learn how to handle it better too hehe

I love waking up to chirping birds too. When we visited Costa Rica, we heard so many animals in the rain forest and it was so wonderful. Hahaha so funny that you added BEE to that list!
Costa Rica! That's so high on my bucket-list. A perfect destination for wildlife!
What a great travel experience, and adventurous destination. Ha you need a lot more patience for birding. BEE lol. Very nice shots later plus the dudes! Oh no about the debit card. Fun evening and being part of the show.
Those were some cool dudes! 🦎 Yeah I do not have the patience for birding! I prefer safaris 😝
Looks like you had relaxing day and great cultural experience, I always wanted to experience like that when i come to africa in the future.
Africa is waiting!
Wonderful video, very good production! Love the vibe!
Thank you so much! 🤗

Wow lush video and to think last year I was watching you drink tea at home...epic trip :-)
Funny you should say that, I'm currently sitting at my desk with a mug of tea 😝

You're so lucky for them to call you about your card! Imagine you had really lost it, the hassle! The buffet dinner and dance party looked good fun.

Everything about your volg is Amazing, and a nice Country keep it up!!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! :)
Huh, I probably wouldn't even expect them to have credit cards there :P Dancing with the locals, cool :D
I guess most people didn't as they only had ATMs in the biggest cities!
But you probably expect the country to have the natural resources that you enjoy
Omg that lizard in the room would’ve had me out of there lol. I had a lizard in my room in Costa Rica and called the front desk to come get it lol. So we ended up chasing outside.

You would have hated a place I stayed at recently. The windows were slatted wood and never fully shut. I counted 8 lizards in my room at one time 🙈
Thank you for the video, I miss my country 🇬🇲
Thank you for watching! The Gambia is a gorgeous country ❤️
I love your gambia series! Love from Sweden

Large video format ... but you fill with content, it's good. How long are you in Gambia?
I was there for 4 days 👌
Another beautiful vlog. White people dance is amazing lol
Haha, glad you enjoyed! We tried our best 😝 Good job the camera was far enough away that it couldn't hear our attempts to join in the singing too...
