I love this version done by Dimash, & he learned it phonetically within a week, since he had very little English at that time. He was only 22 then as well.. Dimash never copies another artist.

Dimash didn't speak a word of English at that time and only learned the lyrics phonetically. Participants in the 'The Singer 2017' competition had a week to learn and arrange the song that has been chosen for them. It was the 3rd song in the competition.

If I am not mistaken, this was Dimash's first attempt to sing in English. Here was a young 22-year-old Kazak man singing on a Chinese singing competition show with professional Chinese singers who were 12-39 years his senior. His first 4 songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin with only one week to learn each song before performing. What I loved about following Dimash on this show was how he improved with each episode, plus, I enjoyed some of the other singers as well. My three favorites from Singer 2017 were Adagio, All By Myself, Unforgettable Day, and Confessa/ Diva Dance. I hope you check them out also. As for his songs after that show, I wouldn't know what to suggest since they are all amazing, but, I am partial to Love Is Like A Dream, Ikanaide, Sinful Passion, and Stranger. thank you for this reaction video of Dimash.
I think he hits higher than Freddie's
I rarely listen to Queen. But I can understand that you have a deeper connection with Freddy‘s version since this song was written with his very personal circumstances in mind. He was dying and the song feels very emotional and desperate with him singing this. (As far as I remember).
But I‘m glad Dimash did his own thing, since it’s not his song. He never copies. And I agree that he did a great version! 😊❤

Hi! Dimash is so so good!! He has made many songs since then... Lives and MVs... He always surprises us with his creations! From Ikanaide and Samaltau at the Tokio Jazz Festival (at Studio) to Ti amo cosi... (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifulina) El amor en tí (in concert) ... Stranger... When I"ve got you (MV, a short horror story) and the beauty Omir... he has come a long way!! Regards from Buenos Aires.

Freddy Mercury is probably the best rock singer ever, however Dimash is the greatest all-around singer ever. Speaking of great singers, you should definitely react to an amazing young singer from the UK called Lucy Thomas. She's already released 6 studio albums, at the beginning of next year she's starring in a brand new musical especially written for her on London's West End stage called "Rosie." She has 70+ videos on utube including wonderful duets with her 5 years and 8 months younger sister Martha." Her latest video is of the classic song"Unchained Melody" many reactors seem to think she has the most beautiful voice on the planet. I'd love to know what you think?

Korean crossover quartet is Forestella; they did a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, which I think you will like. They also did: Legends Never Die, Bad Romance and Time in a Bottle. Dimash also did a Queen Medley with the Super Vocal Boys. I wish you much luck in growing your channel!
You have to take into account that dimash did bot speak english at this time. I think he did this great not just goid. Taking in that english is very hard to other nations to learn for as english we have more words thats we ad to sentences than others do and as it is hard for americans and english to speak other languages. As i said given this as that dimash had to kearnthis in a week i think it was fantastic. It would take me much longer to sing and pronounce his language correctly in just 1 week. But he keeps trying for he lives singing. So ty for your response
