I bought a 1966 r69s in 1980 for $1100, and sold it 2011 for 9720. That bike never saw the inside of a motorcycle shop. Same clutch, same brakes, never took the heads off, and never went down, or broke down,!
should have kept it, its a value classic now.
That motor just purrs,beautiful machine.

r69s was my dads first bike. its been 34 years since he bought it. he always kept it. love how the cylinders on idle sound mainly irl.

Amigo, it sounds like if the choke was on, it was misfiring when going and too fast on idle. Also you can avoid the clunk when gearing up by making a quick stop halfway shifting up the gears. It looks fantastic, hope you still have it and never sell it or you will have nightmares the rest of your life like it happens to me (almost nightmares)

Have been riding a /2 since 1967. This one needs carbs synchronized. Easy job I do it by ear.
