Oh whoops I was thinking Leave it In My Dreams [which sounds great].....yes parts of All Wordz maybe not so good but to be fair I reckon it would be hard to replicate live as you said. Plus a vocalists tops can suffer on the road. I'd love to see this concert with some more light! Probably great if you were there

9:33 Is the best part of the show. Hands down. They should have left after that and just shook hands and had drinks with people and what not, stop with the noise Jules. Come on.
It's strange. 2018 is a strange year. It's like there's still magic in the music, but the magic is totally gone in the voice. That huge full crisp vocals from 2000 - 2003 are totally gone. I don't know if it's age, or smoking, drinking or whatever. The Voidz are a strange band. It's like a hangover band. They sometimes sound like jazz musicians playing metal, and other times it's just lazy high school punk band composed of suburban dads from Baltimore. Plus the strange pseudo political diatribes Julian has been spewing as of late.
It reminds me of post TLOP Kanye. It's that deliberate I don't give a fuck attitude, but it's beyond the not give a fuck attitude of say is this it era. It's really no fucks given. The thing worked for Tyranny, but Virtue is a lazy overdrawn mess. It's like smartphones and broadband internet are fucking everyone's attention spans up and this sort of music is reflecting it.
It's like the barriers between celebrities and commoners are falling, thanks to hd video. Gone is the mythical strokes playing in the perfectly tailored setting of the $2 bill concert, the controlled loss of control, tied down chaos. We have four dudes, half of them way washed up, in a dark room, playing four chord songs through the weirdest guitars they could find (the bright red and yellow epiphones, the post ironic flying v, that weird thing beardo plays).
Everything is going to shit, gloriously. Every attempt at greatness is gone.
I like how they are playing river of brakelights, ize of the world and ill try anything once. It's like they let me do the perfect JC setlist.
Only problem is that we never get the 2001 voice screaming "I'm at your feet were critters meet". Well we have the early this life and someday recordings rite

Alejandro, its impossible to compare Strokes and Voidz. Julian's voice is different, and i believe that his intentions are also others. He is almost other person. The agressiv way on Strokes do not exist anymore. And his voice on live with Strokes has mistakes too.
The band dont want to show super rehearsed music, but fresh criaton, dissonat chords, Julian's ideas on the lyrics and cooperation between the group.
Julian likes so much to try new stuff and follow a different direction of a common way. Voilà, he is still the same.

They suck so bad. Only song that has spirit and vitality is "QYURRYUS". That at least has some swag. But no, this is a noise rock band. Experimental and noisy. It's stuff that you keep in the basement or bedroom, to yourself and the band. You need an aquired taste to like this kind of crap. It's nonsense. Very off-putting.
