For FL users, there's also a super useful mid-side EQ Patcher preset which allows you easily mono the low-end, great for popping on a bass bus!

That’s a great tip Mick! I only recently found out about all the cool stuff people can make on patcher a couple of months ago, I didn’t even know it had presets built into it! I went down a rabbit hole awhile ago of videos showcasing patcher presets accurately recreating plugins that cost hundreds of dollars and had no clue midside EQs functionality was possible through it, which is fantastic since those are usually reserved for the more expensive EQ plugins out there!

@@SleepyVibesOnly_ Yeah it's a super useful feature! I very rarely use anything other than the stock FL EQ, so it's great to be able to add that sort of functionality.
I definitely need to spend some time diving a bit deeper into Patcher. Even just with the Stereo Shaper and Frequency Splitter plugins, the mid-side and multi-band effects you can make yourself are super powerful!

@mickmccarthy89 I honestly went through such a deep rabbit hole on it and forgot half of everything I learned but Frank Pole’s videos of him recreating some plugins that I honestly didn’t even know could be remade (like RBASS for example) was really impressive! Everytime I open it up to try and experiment with it though I literally have no clue what i’m doing on it haha

@@SleepyVibesOnly_ Yeah I think it was his RC-20 clone that got me looking into it initially. It's pretty wild when you open up some of the presets and have a look at the routing!
Definitely on the list of stuff I want to dive deeper into at some point, but I should probably focus on regularly finishing tracks instead of geeking out over custom plugin routing!

That’s the same way I always feel about those more complex sides of things too, I always want to dive in to things like that head on but then I remember I have a ton of unfinished projects just sitting on my hard drive that probably need more of my attention haha

Thank you so much bro i’m glad the tutorial was helpful! Sadly I haven’t been able to find any proper way to stream FL to discord with this method, I recently tried really hard to get it work for some lessons I was doing but with the method with ASIO Link PRO and OBS I couldn’t get both my mic and FL to come through on discord :/
