  • Turkey has not given up on the acquisition of the European Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Güler announced. However, Germany’s opposition to the sale of Typhoons to Turkey also continues, Güler added.
“The Eurofighter isn’t an asset exclusive to our allies in Germany. We too have an interest in these aircraft, but there are certain issues our German counterparts are wrestling with that we, as NATO members, can’t accept. We’ve been vocal about this. I’m confident these matters will be sorted out soon.
Impressively, the dimensions of the Eurofighter Typhoon are as follows: a length of 15.96 meters [52.36 feet], a wingspan of 10.95 meters [35.93 feet], and a height of 5.28 meters [17.32 feet]. The aircraft carries a maximum takeoff weight of 23,500 kilograms [51,809 pounds].
The Eurofighter Typhoon is lauded for its advanced capabilities. It can reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.0 [2,495 km/h, or 1,550 mph] at high altitude, and has a range of 2,900 kilometers [1,800 miles]. Additionally, the aircraft boasts a service ceiling of 19,812 meters [65,000 feet] and a rate of climb of 315 meters per second [62,000 feet per minute].

Is there a country in this world that develops everything on its own and is so stupid that it rejects such opportunities?

@@avniceylan7322 France, Uk, Sweden, US, Germany, Spain, China, Japan etc all develop their own Fighterjets. Turkey can't even make a drone without having to import the components from outside then copy them. (Rotax engine)
Now you want to convince the world you will make a fighterjet on your own without copying?
The problem is that even copying is hard when it comes to fightjet engines otherwise china would have done it already.

@@nostro1940 Dude are you serious? You're talking nonsense to death right now. Our localization rate in the defense industry is higher than many of the countries you mentioned. I'm just asking you if there is a country that produces everything on its own. Don't answer my question with verbal acrobatics. France used American engines in Rafael warplanes until they produced their own engines, America acquired this technology after the Germans invented the jet engine, and England has partnerships with many American and European companies and as a result, technology transfers. If it weren't for American engines and parts, Swedish Saab planes would still be nothing more than prototypes today. Stop telling stories. For some reason, as events develop more and more in the Turkish defense industry, they evolve into nonsense of "But you are copying-stealing". You are not sincere, we know very well what you are after. You continue to criticize and attack with unfounded arguments, we will continue to do our job and produce. If it's so hard for you, if you think that you are the source of everything in a god-like way, and if you believe in the nonsense that we cannot live without you, then you should put an embargo! Is anyone forcing you to do this?
