Your video was great. Santa Marta has so much to offer. There are many beautiful beaches around Santa Marta. It has much more to offer than Cartagena. One thing that should not be lost though is the historical significance of Santa Marta. While the church was rebuilt it is the oldest in South America. Santa Marta itself is also one of the oldest cities in all of the America’s as it was founded in 1525. It was the first Spanish settlement in Colombia also. Simon Bolivar himself lived there at the end of his life. It is the city where he died. His residence there is now a museum. Also, after he died his remains were held in the Santa Marta Cathedral for 12 years until he was returned to Caracas where he was born. Of course the Sierra Nevada’s above Santa Marta has the Lost City. One can go on and on about Santa Marta. I have been blessed to have visited many times.
Very beautifully done video! My gf and I definately want to visit Santa Marta, she lives in Ecuador most of the year, but comes here to the US/FL over our holiday season. She loves beaches and swimming, looks like Santa Marta just might give her plenty of that!
THANK YOU!!! This does mean a lot. With the both of us working full-time jobs and still fitting in all the travels, we still make time to produce what we can video wise. We hope to make it to Brasil one of these days, we have a good friend living there right now.

Nice! - What's the movie called? And, let me know which city you like better. We're always curious of peoples thoughts, we like Santa Marta a little more.

Yes! With amazing mountain view’s! There are several different beaches. We always suggest escaping to the more secluded ones.

We have plans to make it back to Santa Marta. This is by far one of our top recommendations to anyone who is visiting Colombia for the first time.
Is it really hot?
Yes! In general, its average daily high is 90 degrees and average low about 78 degrees. An AC unit is a must.
