Hi Tara, I am currently working in corporate, in the finance space, and I have been thinking about what gives me real joy, and I thought, starting a pre-school would do that, and I thought I always wanted to learn more about Montessori and persue the qualification that would get me there. So today I just went to UA-cam and you were the first person who popped up.
For a person who is not a teacher or assistant, or a head who wants to go that direction, where do I begin. While working full-time to earn an income.
Please note, I'd like to first obtain the qualifications needed to be a qualified teacher of up to grade 1 for now.
Hey! That is so great that you’ve found a passion for Montessori! I was feeling the exact same way. A lot of people start off with the 0-3 (infant/toddler) certification, but if primary age is your passion there is nothing stopping you from starting with the primary certificate! If you have a Montessori school nearby I would recommend setting up a tour and finding out what qualifications their teachers have! Many Montessori schools will pay for their teachers to be trained while they are working!

i just started training at a great Montessori preschool and i feel like a complete failure so far... i dread every moment of my day! the kids know that i can't do shit and the purposefully misbehave when they're with me because they know it'll get a reaction out of me and they know they'll get away with it! one week in and i feel like i never want to see another toddler till the day i die.
This was my experience back in July. Just now I’m gaining control of the classroom + have learned SO much. If you’re passionate about being a teacher + especially Montessori then I encourage you to stick with it. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve done a lot of exceptionally hard things in my short lifetime. You are not a failure. It takes an incredible person to step into the role you have. You’re amazing no matter what you decide. I’m glad I stuck it out and made it out the other side, but I recognize your path may look different. Either way wanted to share my experience + some encouragement that you can do this. I wish you the very best, friend! ❤

I know in dental assistant or medical assistant for pharmacy technician we need renew our license but for Montessori is the same ? Or still good for work?

I believe it is only the US and Canada, but you could email them to find out!

This is an excellent program but there is no available school in my area for me to do observations 😭
For the assistant programs you do not have to do observations, I’m actually taking it now! But for the full certification you would. It might be worth reaching out to them and finding out if there are any other options!
