We moved from Chicago to Dolton where I completed my last two years of highschool at Thornridge. I walked those streets in peace from senseless violence for some years and then the change of it all came unfortunately. I left in 98' to join the military but I always wanted to see someone whether it was a black man or woman put Dolton on the map of prosperity and goodness; a little predominantly black city full of opportunities, peace, love and fun. I saw they had a black female as Mayor and I was delighted, thinking Yes, this may be someone who cares and will turn it around, cause of course you see all the accolades people give her then I stumble across this video and I'm in utter disappointment, but thank you Sis for speaking up, out and loudly. The truth will always shine through. I'm so disappointed though... just wow.
