You da man!!! 👊
Still my favorite Cloudkicker album.
I fucking agree!
Just wanted to type the same :D
Since this album he has produced many great songs, but this one is really something special
Absolutely. The belligerence in the first bar of Dysphoria and the sweeping finale it runs into is one of my favourite aspects of this album. Add to that the dip down into Everythng's Mirrors and you got a fantastic album to listen to just about anywhere.
Couldn't agree more. I'm addicted.
RenaudCalisse this was the album that got me into wanting to create music. Started my band, got signed and then toured the world for about 5 years out of high school. This album is huge
ahh...the album I listened to the night before my father died. I was smoking a cigarette while staring at a clear November night sky, little did I know my father would pass away the following day. Everything was calm that night, cold breeze, a clear night sky dotted by stars...hmmm been avoiding this album since. But here I am again.
Sorry to hear. He would probably want you to keep jamming to this :)
@@sullieskye damn right. The OP the toughest times are always dotted with the most beautiful moments kind of like the stars..
Try to remember the good times you shared with him, they will never die and those times are worth more than life itself. I hope ur doing great. And like the person said before me always listen to great music, like Cloudkicker.
Пиздец, брат
Deep
Bro I got chills.
One of the very first best djent album ever
Dysphorya and The Discovery are still two of the best metal songs ever written, instrumental or otherwise.
everything's mirrors/viceroy are definitely up there too imo.
This is like one of the best metal albums ever written, instrumental or otherwise. So brilliant not many people understand it
You know that feeling when you're (metaphorically speaking) elevating into the sky, pathologically on a journey to discovering higher self, induced with potential valour, vitality and heroism? Yeah... Cloudkicker are magnificent to deliver such concept in music as powerful and comforting as I let my thoughts wonder in sync, within my own solitude.
Music allows for this vent to occur(along with other everyday life mysteries) however too many people, sadly, are presumptuous and care not even give it a listen. Also to add on ur topic, i feel people with a more acute sense of self-awareness seem to at least be "collectively in tune" with one another.. For instance, i have no past recollection of is ever meeting, but i feel we could agree on many things and even tell that your a sensible person because of point of view. I feel, within me at least, that we are all one being, and yet we all share the collected energy, which resonates forever and is never ending. Just my crazy idea. 💡
This album still speaks to me after so many years
Thank you Ben Sharp
Today I learned that Ben Sharp is a pilot and that's why his band is called Cloudkicker.
Thanks for sharing that! Cloudkicker is also a character from that old cartoon called Tailspin! Didja know? :p
I believe the drummer and Ben were flying somewhere and had a crash landing in the middle of nowhere but survived. I thought the name was a reference to the accident.
Cloudkickers music and aviation go hand in hand
Before I knew this, I thought it was a clever name for someone who comes up with creative ideas.
@WildcatDrums some of those pilots actually survived if you read about the crashes involved
so honored I got to see him live, this album is perfect
"segue" is the best interlude ive ever heard bar none. says so much with so little
God damn, Dysphoria's intro riff could crack a god damn mountain!
Nothing short of a fucking masterpiece
The whole album is frisson inducing. After all these years and several prog /djent/ metal bands I still come back to this album, and it still just resonates within my soul.
Thank you sincerely, Ben Sharp.
This album is perfect to listen to during a Thunderstorm
The cover makes it look like I'm about to embark on a 90s educational graphic adventure, but the music turns me round 180 and tells me nah
In my honest opinion, best metal ever heard in my life as far as I can remember
I have been listening to Ben for a decade and I almost can agree but I try not to put any thing above others because of stuff like Plini, Animals as Leaders and Polyphia, they are all rocking their own version of greatness and Ben with Cloud Kicker I think is a top contender for what he does and could be one of the best of his particular style. I do hold his music value in my top 10 for sure though. It's been a great experience listening to this over the years
Thanks for the upload. Great quality!
May the tacos be with you.
BlooodMusic Haha and also with you
Pure art
I just went from 6 to midnight.
The Discovery I started listening to early when it came out. That same time I got my first motorcycle and was riding during the cold winter and would come home and listen to this and Animals as Leaders back to back while trying to date a drummer chick who was a pathalogical liar with a helluva an ass. What a wild time it was and loved listening to Ben Sharp and Tosin. It was this or that at the time
i got this album cover as my first tattoo around 2011ish. emailed it to ben sharp he said it was the first tattoo of his art hes seen. made me super happy. this album changed my life back when i first discovered it. i still come back and let it play from time to time. this album will forever have a place in my heart.
So happy I just found these dudes
ah this takes me back. good times good memories. cheers cloud kicker!
So happy a friend turned me onto this.
Damn these mind fucking rhythms, or when only one note can tell a story.
MorbidRectum lol you don't meshuggah much ?
smartest person actually listening right now
Qukrapok no disrespect to meshuggah but they ain’t got shit on this it’s a totally different animal
Super Hans would be proud of the powerful sense of dread produced by this album
portl what you mean now were working it's not ok for me to smoke my crack?
This crack is a little bit moorish
this is awesome. we listen to this in the office.
You wouldn't be hiring by chance would you?
programmer? animator?
+Luchiop I listen to this and I'm an animator XD Are you hiring?
just changed goverment here in Argentina, maybe devaluation will be affected positively allowing me to hire someone foreign without it being it times 13,5 more expensive (our currency vs U$D).
Not Sure simple: its a time to be hired from outside. not yo hire.
I want this album playing when I pass from this life to the next. It’s starts out scary and a bit chaotic with the sirens and all. You know something huge is about to happen. You don’t know where you are going but you know your are going somewhere. That’s how I interpret this album.
Why do you think there's a next life?
@@nuberiffic I don't know if there is a next life. I hope there is though. Guess I'll find out someday, we all will.
@@paulgrindley8192 no, we won't. There isn't one.
We are here now. That's why I believe there will be a next life. This world is unfathomable and mysterious, it is hubris to deny the potentiality of existence. You may say it is wishful thinking that we will have a next life, but if you know any struggle or suffering, you may find it wishful thinking to believe that you will not continue after this body dies. If you do indeed continue on, you are only doing yourself a disservice by not tending to yourself. Also, fuck religion, spirituality is where it's at.
@@chrisgore8597 How on earth does "we are here now" lead to "there is an afterlife"
What's the connection.
And yes, it is wishful thinking.
You can't just assume something is true because you'd like it to be.
Listen to this whilst skateboarding. I mean actually learning tricks. Such good focus music.
same im skater too
Looking at you, i'd say you better stop
should be 20 000 000 views. so underrated for it's genious and simplicity
Janusz Okoń not sure what you mean by simplicity. This isn't simple to make. These odd time signatures are very difficult to conform into what is produced as a continuous sound that still can be interpreted. To me that is the genius of it.
God no - never meant it's simple to make! it's just a simplistic form - not a lot of layers/details with a clear structure. I'd dream of composing something like that...:)
Agreed. So would I. :)
You dont wanna know how many layers there actually are haha. He said himself, at times there are six guitars at the same time :)
This music is actually VERY complex, but I understand it may seem simple at first ;)
Stunning. So good!
This album has so much feeling in it it really is very beautiful
This is so good. Have to Listen
to it twice in a row. Otherwise your missing out

Underrated
Loved your music for a long time, inspired me to make my own music as well now :p
This is done well.
Wow!
The first two minuets are the best,
The full description is quite good. :)
I agree, information is great!
TO ALL NEWCOMERS: yes, on this album you'll find some of the most ear-fucking-joyable, hot, lit, sexy brain-gasmic breakdowns ever produced by entire human race, for some reason covered in one of the shittiest album-arts in modern metal history.
LOL even tho Ben did it? 100% all of this album was Ben...SO I get ya...but
wtf is wrong with the album art?
Album art is legit
Everything is mirrors.
That is the truest statement I’ve ever known
all Siberia listen this genius album!
Goddamn - it's amazing! o_0
Whoa where the hell did this come from youtube? That whole album slapped!
Discussions surrounding ideas.

I'm curious.. how many people who listen to Ben Sharps music are themselves musicians?
me. soundcloud.com/invokeohio
It's like what do you get if you mixed Animals As Leaders & Dream Theater..
34 people are clouds.
metal usually bores me to death but this is great
Check out The Algorithm too, another 5D band.
Cloudkicker might actually be 6D.
1st track: is it a reference to Long Distance Calling? :)
at 23:19 starts my favorite buildup sequence 😡😡
Do you guys think this is the best album they've ever done?
... what do you mean by "they" ????????
Gino Simplicio This or Beacons, followed by Subsume
I could kill to see Intronaut perform with Ben again, but in the UK
Mesmerizing. something fucking delusion worth tripping
Was this really recorded using a Behringer Vamp??
The polyrhythms need a blessing from Tiamat they are so unholy. :D
What album is hymn to the projectile on?
Needs time codes.

Boo you tube for putting adds in this incredible album. Very disrespectful to the artist. Boo. Boo you you tube. Ty
Otherwise, an incredible album.
