An idea for the next video could be the combination with the internal accelerometer and compass to generate a path present on past FLL/ WRO example designs and compare it with traditional steering models. Also how repetitive and precise is the behavior to turn around a rectangle, a circle, or an eclipse after for instance 10, ... 60 turns (with and without adding line follow algorithms).
Ah man you could make an awesome Batman Tumbler-style tank with this technique! I guess with 4x motors and needing a mindstorms controller, and the custom parts, it's probably a little too expensive to become an official set.
Yes, I'm actually working on that. But it is really hard to make it fully functional. I want to make the one from the computer game that can go into turret mode.
There are other omni wheels out there that are a bit cheaper - is there any particular reason to use the 97mm ones vs (say) 80mm ones with a hex axle hole? Thanks!

This is possible, but it requires an extra positioning system with a rotocaster or photo positioning. A friend of mine did some really nice work here.
Nice!
Amazing! Well done.

My own app. It's free in the appstore. Link in description and cards!

Where do you buy the wheels? Brilliant!
I added the links in the description! They were also in the cards.

Oops, meant Ilon wheels (just realised omnis are different)!
No reason. 80mm will work fine. I just got these for free.
Thanks Anton, that's great. My son and I are going to make 2 cars for races etc. so we'll need 8 wheels. Those 97s do look cool though!
