    Octo Pulse 2 Wave Pump review: • Reef Octopus Octo Pulse 2
    The new Octo Pulse 4 is a fully controllable flow pump that moves up to 4500 gph and consumes no more than 32 watts of power in the process. The broad flow water movement will encourage coral growth instead of blasting it away with harmful "hot spots" associated with other wave pumps.

    Hey Folks, I misspoke about the suggested aquarium size for this powerhead. I should have said 80 to 500 gallons aquariums. Sorry for the misunderstanding...

      So would a octo 4 work fine with a 120 to 150 Gallon tank?

      @RotterStudios Рік тому

      @@jeffreyabbey9592 yes. I have 2 and one would be more than fine.

    Nice pump. I like the fact that it has external controller interface. I wouldn't mind cloud based control as long as there is some type of local manual management as well.

    Two thumbs up. I like having the controller connected over the cloud based system.

    Thanks for the review. Looks like an amazing product and very competitive to MP40qd . Love the fact that it doesn't have ears like MP40 and cheaper too !!!!

    Thanks for doing a review on this pump, It's something I'm interested in for an upcoming build & I haven't been able to find a lot of information on it. And I think I prefer physical controllers.

    I have two of the octo 4's on my 6' 125 gallon and it's too much power. On the power of 3, both together blow my coral way too much. I'm only using one pump now on setting of 4.

    I like to have both controller cloud and the physical controller. always good to have double the controls for fail safe if cloud is down.

    Awesome wavemakers. I want an Octo Pulse 2 on a Sea Sweep oscillator.

    The cloud based controls being utilized through my controller (apex) is what I prefer, but having some physical means of control is nice to have. Although the multiple control boxes that tend accumulate in a build does seem to be getting ridiculously out of hand.

    Looking at the owners manual. It looks like all the modes are all just on and off at fix output level. Not the random that goes up and down with the flow rate randomly. Do know anything on that using it?

    Great review. I personally like the idea of... BOTH a cloud based solution and an at-the-tank solution. I guess I need to figure how to connect it to a controller for BOTH lol :)

    Looks like an amazing pump! Considering a new pump. This may be the one. Which one would you recommend for an SPS dominted standard 75g tank? The pulse 2 or 4?

    Great alternative to Ecotech which are becoming too expensive. Do they offer foam covers for the pump guard so wandering anenomes don’t get sucked in?

    I like the idea of the controller being on your phone or tablet but. The wired controller is always gonna be in arms length of the tank

    Do NOT put the octopulse 4 on a 40 breeder. Bad recommendation. It should be placed on a 4ft tank or larger.
