Here we will find one of the craziest beaches in the United States, known for it's boardwalk, muscle beach, skate park and much more. But within this place known as one of the best things to do in Los Angeles, we witness California's homelessness problem. There are lots of homeless encampments, drug addiction and mental illness. Nice adventure. Venice has always been this way. Probably one of the worst cities to be homeless at. Some homeless actually enjoy it. The missions are all full and most don't like being told what to do. I visit Venice daily and it's a new adventure every time.

I think that the root of this v problem is the broken family and support system that leads to mental illness. The mental health system is so broken and not helping these people, and so they end up in this vicious cycle in the streets. It is so sad.

Mental Health Patient’s Bill Of Rights is responsible for the closure of mental hospitals across the state going back to the 60s. People treat those perceived as different in cruel ways. I wish those to be just words but old footage of people essentially being tortured exists within those institutions and the lobotomy probably the worst.

What do you think is the source of this homeless problem?? ⬇️⬇️

I lived in LA county, 68 hours a week x 16 per hour, that paid for a room in someone else's house. You get laid off, or the company slows down and you no longer can work OT, you end up homeless!
And LA was building a tiny home community at 800K per unit x 75515 (est. homeless 2023) that is a lot of money = 60,412,000,000 to house everyone!

It's always been homeless since I grew up and I grew caring for them at a kid and teenager. Now there is just more media around it. I always pray for the homeless to try to take the help offered and stay off the streets were they can be in danger.

This was the “Hippie Capital” of the World in the 60’s-70’s - also Venice area and the beach 🏖 was Drug Capital of LA! But the area was clean back then’ no overnight camping 🏕
as kids in jr High and HS this was our everyday adventure in those days! Enjoy the weather all year long”

People love to blame the government but forget that most of these people wouldn’t even do better if they were handed every single tool in their hands. They choose to be homeless!

Is the president aware of all of this or he just don't care? Not to mention the Governor in California seems to enjoy homelessness in California.
