- I had the opportunity to borrow a Garmin VIRB 360 video camera. This is the first 360 video test from Turøy near Bergen Norway. The clips are edited (clipped) in Garmin VIRB software,. The stitching is in camera while the stabilisation is made in the software. I will make a video about 360 cameras in the near future. I was doing my best to avoid getting water from my paddle on the camera lenses.
WOOOOOWWWWW! Totally incredible. Took my breath away
It's great to be on the kajak with you and wittness real life how beautiful it is. That moment when you stop paddling and it's bust silence...woow
Beautiful light and surroundings, perfect for this type of video. The face I gave when I discovered that moving the iPad I could see around was priceless 😊
fantastic video. would you please post the mount type you were using? thank you.
thank you for the nice comment. If you look down towards the kayak, there is a garmin logo. That is the mount position on the kayak. the Garmin VIRB 360 is mounted on 2 gopro gooseneck poles . the camera is about 40 cm over the surface of the kayak.

Amazing video. May ask if you used the native functionnto merge the videos or if you used an external app?
4k in camera stitching. This is what you get in automatic mode in good light.
Wow!!
How exactly do you do this though....do you just take your kayak and start kayaking where you want to?
Or do you get permission or pay a company to get the kayak and the locations as a package?
I have my own kayak and go kayaking alone where I want. There are no rules here in Norway. But if you want to rent a kayak near the coast where the sea is rough, you have to have a kayak course or prove that you can get into the kayak if you capsize. There are guided tours in many places for beginners
Hey great video quality & idea for VR video! I'm using to watch it Daydream & Huawei P10 Lite and quality of the video is extraordinary!!!
Thank you! The Garmin360 videos are very high quality, and the light was quite good that day. The camera actually has 5.7 K that is even better quality.
This is a HD normal video from the 360 ua-cam.com/video/Q5fNSbIAj24/v-deo.html
many 360 cameras now support normal video re-editig from 360 raw video.
