I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! SERIOUSLY MY STATS PROFESSOR IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT WITH EXPLANATIONS, AND YOU JUST MADE THIS 100X EASIER!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!! 🙏🙏
Hello sir, We are currently on quarantine and need to do our worksheets on our own, this video really helped me a lot. Thank you so much sir. Hope you create more. ❤️♥️
You are an amazing instructor. I should have came here first because you made it super easy. My son’s teacher talked for 90 minutes and it was so bad, I had to go to UA-cam to help explain to my son!
I know I’m late, but you have helped me understand in minutes compared to my professor's 40-minute audio, and I still didn’t understand. You show the problem and explain it in steps. Thank you so much.
how can i go about finding the area under curve for a z value that is not present in the table. i tried calculating it using the cdf of std. normal function but encountered the erf() during the integral and i dont know how to calculate the value of erf(x). pls help
Why anybody makes an example of just using a one sign table to an excercise of numbers in between with different signs (ie z negative to find z=-0,77 to z=2,31)?
I know this was years ago, but aren't you supposed to add the z-values of -2.33 and 1.78 to get the area between them? Since the values on the table are the area between 0 and the 1.78 and 0 and -2.33?
If you are using that type of table. This table reads the areas to the left of the z vale. I have a video that shows examples using both tables. The link is below. ua-cam.com/video/BItUZISCkpo/v-deo.html
The tables will usually tell you to use 1 if more than 3.5 and 0 if less than -3.5. To get an accurate value you would need to use excel. You can search my channel for Norma distribution using excel.
Thank you. Can't believe I pay 600 dollars a course just to have to watch a fucking random video on youtube to understand something. Fyck college, but thank you.
Very helpful because our instructor is not teaching us through online class, so I don't under any of that numbers, thank you for teaching I understand it all now
thank you steve, missed my stat class last week. failed to be a good student for that day but your video helped me study the content i missed so im ready for the exam.
I got so frustrated seeing my lectures class recordings cause they didn’t make any sense and then I found you! Thank you so much for this video. May God Bless people like you.
You are probably using a different z table. Here is another video I made on how to read the two different z tables. ua-cam.com/video/BItUZISCkpo/v-deo.html
i never comment but god bless you, seriously ive been trying to understand this all morning and 5 minutes in and i already got it. Hope youre having an amazing day ;-;
Very helpful, you explained in 17 minutes what my professor has tried over the last 2 weeks
Thank you. Glad it helped.

I'm sinhala....but understand very well🔥❤
instead of P(z ≤ -1.32) make it P(z ≥ -1.32), since z = 0.
How about between two negatives like between z=2.06 and z=0.54?
It’s the same. Look up the larger minus look up the smaller.
I NEEDED this video so bad! Thank you for making it, I understand the material better and I cannot thank you enough. Hope you have a good one!
Thank you. Glad it helped.
I got lost when its comes to, , ≥ and ≤, when will i use them
Please help
Thank you, very helpful
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
That was very helpful and well explained. Thanks, Steve!
Thank you. Glad it helped.
the drawing of how you need to subtract -2.33 from 1.78 connected the wires that were unplugged. thank you so much
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
Why anybody makes an example of just using a one sign table to an excercise of numbers in between with different signs (ie z negative to find z=-0,77 to z=2,31)?
no one teaches how to do this without the z table, which my class isn't using and i forgot how to do it on the ti-84 😭😭im gonna fail stats pray for me
You can do it. Just practice practice practice. Good luck in your class.
Do you have a video on Find the indicated area under the standard normal curve.
To the left of z equals - 2.45 and to the right of z equals 2.45
Thanks
You’re welcome.
Thank you man!!!!!!!!
You’re welcome.
Nicely explain sir, I was tried last 15 days above, your vedio is helpful for me
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your explanation. Very clear and easy to understand. Really helped me a lot.
You’re welcome. Thank you for the comment.
Sir what if, if the given is bounded by z=2.25 and z=1.00?
Look up 2.25 and then 1.00 and then subtract the two areas.
Thank you.... very helpful video....
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.
How to know if I will use greater and equal and lesser and equal.
The problem tells you.
How do I graph if it says "at most z"? Thanks in advance..
Same a less than.

@@crowsmathclass wow, thank you! I've been confused why there are different z-tables with different values. Thanks a lot!
How about a P(z=x) x being a number. How would you do that?
You would have to convert x to a z value. If I understand your question.
what if the z scores i more than 3.4 like -4.4?
The tables will usually tell you to use 1 if more than 3.5 and 0 if less than -3.5. To get an accurate value you would need to use excel. You can search my channel for Norma distribution using excel.
This was very helpful. Thank you!

Sloppy mic noise

Why do you sir not add .5 after locating the area?
That is when you are approximating a binomial distribution using the normal.
What application you are using?
One note.
Sir how about
1. Above z= 0.57
2. Below z= -1.43
I dont get this? Can you help me sir?
Above means to the right and below means to the left.
@@crowsmathclass thankyou so much!!
You’re welcome.
very helpful. i now get it.
Glad it helped.
Can we have a link about the table please? So we can download
It is the table from my book. You can google z table and just print one. They r all pretty much the same.
I finally got it!! Thank you for the detailed explanation!!
You’re welcome. Glad it helped.

Do you always subtract from 1? Let’s say you have a chart with a different area shaded
There are different charts. Search my channel for How Read Two Different z-tables.

thank you very very much

can you tell me how to know whether to subtract the area from 1 or 0.5 or add
It depends which z table you are using. Here is a video showing how to read the two different z tables.
