Prophet muhammad meditated it's named as Muraqaba in mount Hira near meca.....after doing this meditation Quran was revealed to him through farista Jibrel....Today quran is available because of meditation.
Yoga ke liye time namaz ke liye nahi....mere liye ALLAH aur uska rasool kafi hai.
I agree with the topic , Alhamdullilah . Today there are people who don’t offer prayers but emphasis on yoga just because science said it good for them. There are other exercises for mental and physical health .Don’t misguided by those people who aren’t practicing muslims and often misinterpret quranic verses. May Allah subhan wa tallah guide them and us , ameen

It's not a religious practice original. It is a spiritual practice. The word yoga is sankhrat word which means oneness or consciousness! Different religions like Buddhism, Hinduism and Chinese adopt it and connect it with their religious practices in order to get double advantage at a single time.
Suriya namikhr or sun gazing helps to promote vit D, strengthen bones.

ایک آدمی نہ تو وضو کرے اور نہ ہی نماز کی نیت کرے اور نہ ہی کچھ پڑھے۔مگر قیام۔رکوع اور سجود نماز ہی کیطرح کرے۔تو اس چیز کو ہم ورزش کا نام تو دے سکتے ہیں عبادت کا نہیں۔
اسی طرح اگر کوئی یوگا کرتا ہے تو وہ عبادت کیسے ہوسکتی ہے۔
ایلوپیتھک کا تمام علم ہم یہود و نصاریٰ سے ہی سیکھتے ہیں تو ایسے تو وہ بھی پھر غلط ہوگا ۔
بہت سارے علوم وہ لوگ جو مسلمان نہیں ہیں ان سے سیکھے جاتے ہیں سب حرام قرار پائیں گے ۔

Yoga and meditation are two different things. I think meditation is a breathing exercises, so does Islam allow meditation?
Take long deep breaths and while inhaling say Allah silently in mind while exhaling say akbar. Par aisi warjish karne ki kya jarurat hai jisme kisi aur religion me special tawjjo diya hai

Well, I never do any sort of meditation in a sense where my mind is "free" of any thoughts. Because my mind is more at peace when it's in remembrance of God. ❤ A lot of my Catholic friends would never do yoga, because it invites spirits into your body and house. Just do different exercises

I practiced yoga mje din br laga mje Allah naraz hai. Jb mai udaas huwe mai nai quran khula aur Allah se iltija ke ki mujse baat karay . Tou samne jo ayat ayee wuh asee thi( aur ap jiske ibadat krty hu na tou apko wuh nafa poucha sakhti hai na nukhsan). Mai nai ab yh ty kiya ki dubara nhi karuge kbi yh YOGA. Itz exercise but it belongs to Hinduism and we don't know kya sonch samj kr inhune nai yh asan banayh hai.

Do not mislead people! Yoga has nothing to do with religion. Not haram. Yogis only gather the sun's un-interrupted energies that Allah has blessed us with during dawn and its the breathing cycle during postures at dawn that helps strengthen immune system. You both are not subject matter experts and neither have experienced yoga; so stop misguiding between halal and haram and let people heal themselves. Atleast they know, almighty Allah has given them an energy source for thier benefit. Namaz postures are as similar to yoga postures . "Aur tum apney parwardigar ki kon kon se neimathon ko jhutlaaoge" ( surah rehman).
I agree with you..I was suffering from backpain n pcod..My doctor advised me to do yoga n it was actually beneficial for me. I practiced all asanas without any shirk involved in it.Just in the form of exercise n yoga really helped me in many ways
