I once asked a Warner Bros. exec why the label had hung in with the Lips for so long, even though they don’t sell a shit ton of albums, and he answered, “It’s like this, if I call up Wayne Coyne and ask home to fly up to Buffalo in the dead of winter and stand in the middle of an outdoor mall in a bear suit, Wayne says ‘Okay’ without hesitation. That’s rare and unique among artists, and worth its weight in gold.” True story.

I am so jealous of The Flaming Lips. They seem so free to do what they want creatively, experiment with all kinds of weird shit, and yet somehow still have a pretty big following and do pretty well for themselves. How the fuck does that happen? I WANT TO MAKE A LIVING THAT WAY, GAAAHH.

I saw a video of drozd for masterclass earlier on today, and one commenter said he seemed like he was back on the smack, and that definitely wasnt the case, and i pointed out all the signs of a heroin user in a comment rebuttal...the reason why im pointing that out now is...he looks very unhealthy in this video, underweight, and much more pale. He definitely looks to be in the throes of a relapse here. His pupils even look pinned...:(
I think they've all just had slightly too much coke in this instance.

yeah, teenie peenie, that is a stupid comment. He is a wonderful person, and it was sad that he was addicted to Heroin but he is far more productive and useful to our world than you are.
Addiction is an illness and Steven is an actual creative genius.
Wayne is not much into drugs. Anyways, fuck yourself.
