As usual, your enthusiasm is infectious :). The trick for me with Folded Space is to use a strong white glue that dries clear. I put it on with a toothpick. Dry fitting is essential. If you are worried about forgetting which surfaces get the glue after you start putting it together, consider drawing light lines, using the dry fit as a guide, and wherever there's a line, you put some glue. Glue goes wherever two surfaces meet. If you dry fit it again and any of the lines show, you might have drawn one too long or in the wrong place.
It's really not that hard, but it is a spatial reasoning challenge when you first start. I have had Gloomhaven in a Folded Space insert for years and it has held up under THAT challenge. It's good stuff.

Got the Folded Space Insert for Narak, it's really nice (just need some glue and a little time)

Foam Core Board for the inserts
    Resin for the pieces
Skyrise, all the metal and plastic parts are deluxe, gold foil deluxe, wooden tokens deluxe, dual-layer boards deluxe. Retail is wood buildings, everything else cardboard. Wood token go in the bag, metal parts and other wood point tokens have spot under four sector boards in the bottom, along with the gold foil cards.

It's funny that you struggled to think of games that Bosley illustrated when you had Skyrise right next to you. :)
