I loved the video. Congratulations! I want to spend a few days in Switzerland at the end of October and beginning of November. Will it rain a lot at that time? I want to go to Gruyere and take the panoramic train trip to Italy. What do you think?
We are travelling to Switzerland on early Nov. We only have 4 nights, would you stay in Lucerne or Grindewald or Interlaken? We love nature and would rent a car to travel around. We love good mountain views, but good food too. We have a 1.5 year old kid as well.
I would stay in Grindelwald. It‘s a cul de sac but only 20 mins by car to interlaken and 1.5h to lucerne for a day trip. You could also stay in lucerne (more food options), also good views and fantastic mountains nearby and go for 1 or 2 day trips to the Jungfrau Region. Or as I am writing this, I think the best would be to stay 2 nights in each. Only 1.5h by car so not too much loss in time to transfer one day. Wish you a good time and check opening times for the mountain trains and cable cars as some close for maintenance in november!
When exactly is this? I’m planning my trip from the 18th of Nov until the 25th. Will that still be considered low season??
Same here. Similar dates. Pls let me know.
Hi! We are going to be in Lauterbrunnen Oct 28-Nov 1st. Is it worth going? Or will it be too cold and foggy and rainy?
Chances are its going to be not so sunny bit then if it‘s a big foggy it‘s all the more LOTR vibes! This valley was the inspiration for LOTR 👌
@@SwitzerlandInsider thanks for the reply! Love LOTR! So that kind of makes me excited! The dates of our trip aren’t changing so just wanted to know what to expect! Hopefully we can still enjoy the beauty!

It will be closed then. Closes 27th October this year. But Jungfraujoch and Kleine Scheidegg will be open!
It looks beautiful and so peaceful 👍
The restroom at the visitor sites, do you cash? Also for the vending machine, since I will be there in the 2nd week of Nov. Thanks.
Restrooms should be free in most cases and most vending machines take card.
