Such a fun singer to listen to. She was a technical marvel, weird coloratura and all. She has exactly the right voice for early Verdi : bright, bold and unfazed by technical hurdles.
I always love her. She had her own colouratura technique, but could switch between her own style and the 'expected'. It was always exciting to hear what she would do ^_^

Todo el primer Verdi (influenciado por el Belcanto reinante de esa época) es soberbiamente interpretado por Cristina Deutekom, su voz es un balance perfecto de dramatismo y técnica pura, todo ello unido a una voz homogénea y extensa, de bello (y único) color, ella era una Spinto perfecta, posiblemente la única verdadera heredera de Renata Tebaldi.
Ancora con questa stronzata dello jodel, fatevene una ragione, lo squillo impressionante, l'omogeneità vocale in tutta l'estensione, non può essere sminuita dalla sua particolare maniera di vocalizzare che trovo invece affascinante perché rende giustizia ad ogni nota esattamente come uno strumento musicale.
