Beautiful story about the man behind a beautiful little book. I must find my copy which is laying around here somewhere. You’re giving me the urge to fly small aeroplanes again. And there’s me thinking I’d got it out of my system!
No plans but I do have several photographs. The glider was modified very early on, the nose shape being changed and narrower wheels fitted. I intend to make a film about ‘Flying For Fun’ a comparison between the book and the film. I’ll delve more into the glider then.
Fantastic I watched the charming bbc program. I’ve seen you fly over north Devon from my hang glider at woolacombe. Keep the faith for “FT”
Charming film Nick, I am enjoying your films very much. Chris at Bolt Head.
Thank you; I’ve been intending to buzz over to Bolt Head on a suitable day for ages, will do soon.
Thank you for this. I loved that book and read it in 1983.

Wonderful story. While serving in the USAF in 1987-89 I enjoyed many wonderful hours flying R/C gliders at The White Sheet. Thanks for the history.

I carry the book with me in my flying bag; it's akin to a religious document but contains much more that is true.
Wonderful! Are you aware of any plans for the glider conversion?
