With the cart try to keep the gas tank close to full . When any gas tank is left closer to empty the air in the tank will heat up in the day or during use and expand venting air then when it's parked and at night it contracts and draws air back in . This " breathing " draws in moist air at night and on cold wet days and you get condensation and water in your tank . Fuller is better especially with something that doesn't get used that much .
There are some good fuel stabilizer products out there for prolonged storage . I'm a former Honda factory trained motorcycle technician and I also live in northern Canada where motorcycles and snowmobiles sit in storage for six month periods , Full tank of premium is the way to go . I've seen the damage from atmospheric moister in metal tanks left near empty and all the crap and pig snot that builds up in carburetors . If you keep adding gas to the tank with sea foam or fuel stabilizer it should be fine . Run it down to 3/4 full and keep topping it up . My Harley sits in storage for six months with a full tank and comes out in the spring running like a champ . If the cart starts to run lumpy in two or three years drain the tank and go all fresh gas . I wouldn't lie to you running a tank near empty all the time is bad practice and will cause you problems .
I have a 2000 Yamaha gas burner and when I press the gas all the way to the floor, the engine goes dead. Any thoughts on why this happens? Great video by the way and gave you another thumbs up!
Those are awesome carts we have had one for a couple years and use it for everything. If you put a set of rear tires with tractor tread on they will go anywhere. Put a trailer on and its one of the most useful things on the farm and they sip the gas. Just don't let it run out of fuel once you get air in the system it can be a pain to get all out. You can just put a air line in the tank to reprime but bubbles can work loose for weeks if it runs all the way dry.
I think the one on the pickup is more of just a screen. I just back blow it ounce in a while. The guy that owns the local cart shop said he always puts an extra inline filter on all the carts he services. So one between the tank and pump and one between the pump and the carb. He also said to clean the screen on the engine on the passenger side often if you drive in fields a lot. it can clog and overheat the engine. The frame and rear axle are built like a little tank. Same thickness as yamaha utility carts with dump beds.
Watch out Buddy and Mr. T ..............it's mild mannered Goofy.........but put him behind the wheel of a fast golf cart..............and he becomes 'Mr. Wheeler'. (old cartoon)
This will fuck up your golf cart..it will start blowing oil in to the muffler..and back into the carb.. I bought a Yamaha and someone had adjusted the governor all the way , just like you did. And it ran 24mph.. but the thing was it kept dying, popping , backfiring.. not running good at all. We replaced everything.. it ran some better. But not until we re adjusted the governor to about 1" of screw about 14 mph . Wich is about factory specs ..did it run good..just saying
So there's this big deal going on down in crazy Florida, the principal of Campbell Park Elementary made a "Racist" comment saying, put the white kids in the same class. Now I went to that school for my fourth grade year, and I was TORMENTED! For being white, kids would beat the crap out of me if I spoke up for myself, and one time the "coach" stood there and watched me get beat up. Anyways, everyone wants to say how bad white people are and only their racist, well those people have never been to Campbell Park. The stupid people in the video just want to say "Oh racism, racism" that's everyone's excuse nowadays.
We use all kinds of carts every day where I work. Some people tie a weed eater line to the governor and give it a pull when they want a burst of speed(the safety Nazis write them up for that )Electric carts suck. Our dept won't buy electric any more.Doing more than 20mph off road in a golf cart is not a good idea.
You are going to screw up your engine by adjusting the governor that much. Yes you have that much room for adjustment, no you should not use all of it. You'll end up with oil in your carb and into your exhaust.
@@hondagang5966 you can’t over rev the engine from tightening it down Yamaha gave you the adjustment so you could make it run faster and it be safe they only run 10 to 12 mph for golfcourses they don’t want anyone going over that on courses done it to many customer carts over the years no issues

good tip thanks. Have you ever changed the fuel filter in the tank?

pretty sure fuel injection does not have a carb
Why would oil get into carb?
got mine at work up to 34 on a downhill par 5
I can see where this is headed - Headlines - Rick Gore ticketed driving his golf cart doing 30 in a 25 by officer Quota Hire. LOL

What does your comment have to do with golf carts?

You run it full or bend the bracket, you will kill the engine. Period.
If you move it all the way you will over rev the engine this guy has no clue what he is doing
