Now I’m wondering if that makes it more or less “valuable” compared to HW errors, and would you contact Kaido to have it replaced or compensation for it in some capacity.
Still collecting hotwheels, just not as much. Digging the Kaido House cars. As someone who doesn't like to open packages, these cars force me too, to show off how amazing they are and not obsess about the blisters or cards or buying a protector. They are for collectors, in a time where it feels like scalpers, flippers and hoarders all out number collectors and make it impossible to just score a mainline hotwheel, Kadio House Mini GT is a blessing.
I couldn’t agree more, I recently started collecting again and man the mainline th and sth you really can’t find, so I started collecting rlc and kaido house solely. Difference is all my kaido’s are still factory sealed. One of these days I’ll buy a used one to actually hold it and marvel at the detail
Right on man!!! Ive been doing the same thing with the OG import muscle mashenes have a stash set aside. I collect all brands no brand loyalty! The one good thing about people straying from hot wheels is it makes the "Tourist collector" of hot wheels go away
As the diecast collector community has, in general, really started moving towards the modern premium stuff (Mini GT/Tarmac/INNO/etc), it is a breath of fresh air to hear you speak so highly about another awesome diecast company. Magic can be found in castings made at any price point and at any time in history! That still includes the Mattel brands imo!
wow, such a detailed video packed with info! your videos never fail entertain and amaze me! also it was cool to see you in my live today. keep up the awesome content bro
I only collect hot wheels. I don't collect no other diecast brands and I will never collect any other diecast brands. I love collecting hot wheels and I will be collecting hot wheels for the rest of my life. 👍
Never dumping hot wheels but distribution has bn so wack with em the last few years were forced to look other places for Diecast but I do love mini gt and kaido house there such awesome cars 🔥🔥🤘🤘👊
I’m loving the Silverados kaido house is making but hate the chase pieces that most sellers know how to take advantage of. Learned this from the video you made a few months ago. But I’ll still be buying hot wheels because it’s hard to not find a cool car/truck for only $1 and change. But all future trucks kaido house makes, I’ll be buying.
I switched over about a year ago, not fully, there's still hot wheels I will continue to get. The last 6 months Kaido House has really upped the ante, looking forward to the NSX arriving
I will continue to buy HW premium once or twice a year. More accurately people are dumping RLC over Kaido House/mini gt. But HW is still loved overall.
Thanks for the video. I Think Minigt is good for new collectors who dont want to pay high prices for 1.25$ cars. But given the choice of buying 25 hotwheels over 1 minigt...... I would buy only Hotwheels I think as usual, you always make good choices, muscle machines really do look better comparing to details and prices also.
A vintage toy store that i just recently found out about, when i went has some of the those older og MM I'll have to check through them next time i go to it
Back in the early to mid 2000's BigTime Muscles were my go to cars; all I did was collect Import Tuners and Muscle cars. Sadly the were all lost, but in 2018, I did find a 5 pack of BigTime Muscles for a very good price and those are my only Jada cars I own✊🏽
Honestly, I am very disappointed with Mini GT's marketing approach, especially for the Kaido House series. It seems to follow in the footsteps of Hot Wheels by creating limited edition diecasts and making them hard to obtain. This will trigger resellers or scalper to compete and drive up the prices of regular releases in the market, as seen with the recent R34 The Hornet and NSX Evasive series. This is very bad for the hobby. Initially, I thought switching from collecting toy cars like Hot Wheels to mini-scale models such as Mini GT, Inno64, Tarmac, and others was a good idea because I was frustrated with the unreasonable prices of some Hot Wheels models. However, it turns out that now all mini-scale manufacturers seem to be following Hot Wheels' footsteps with their poor marketing and sales strategies. It's ironic.
Nevermind just got to the part in the vid where u said $400. That's a fair deal brother, coming up to halfway point on your vid.💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 Kaido House dropping some heat in 2024 BE READY!!!
I think a lot of people, myself included, are tired of the cut throat try hard attitudes in their local hot wheels community. Having to basically pay miniGT Kaido House prices for a dang mainline hot wheel on the secondary market. I do agree HW has the variety for sure but hopefully we start getting more from Kaido House! Truly amazing pieces of art 🙌🏻
I think some people are making the swich but i dont think hotwheels is going anywhere .. everyone i know collects hot wheels and premium diecast aka kaido house ... the brand im really getting into is inno64 especially the chases
I'm a modifier and Racer, not a collector. It's definitely got the quality that Hot-Wheels lacks; but do they have the speed? Looks are great and all. However I'm looking to collect wins and not dust at a reasonable price?! If I buy a $20 Car, am I going to have to worry about Racing it, especially on some laneless fat track? Thanx for sharing.
Bra!! I was saying the same thing!!! Muscle Machines Tuners are very underrated!!! That hobby Red chrome civic should be like frikken $200!! lol it’s hella beautiful! MM did this waaay before anyone!! Detailed Eng detailed Decos and body just beautiful! Why are they so underrated?? How can we give them more recognition and up the secondary market prices!! These are gold to me!! I just bought a set! And I have the Hobby car!! 🚗
Beautiful Kaido collection too Mang! I’m from Maui Lahaina and I think Jun is an amazing Awesome person to do charity cars!! And you tried getting one!! Good on you Braddah! It’ll be years before Lahaina can feel normal again. Anyways Mahalo Nui for your videos! I like your shows 😊🤙🏽🤙🏽
Interesting. I've just delved in to both Muscle Machines and MiniGT. First I spend $200 on current Muscle Machines. I never liked them in the past but I saw the new LBWK R34 Skyline for $5 and just had to start a small collection. Then I couldn't let the Kaido House R34 Hornet get away so I paid $35 each for it and the Purple R33 you have.... Then I blew some life savings on starting a small collection of miniGTs just for the detail and display appeal. Hot Wheels will still stay in my possession as I can buy 10 of them for one Kaido House.
It’s not a chase if it is always on the top right corner of the box😅 figure this out when I was never able to get a chase Kaido House car from my local retailer. They would pull the chase and sell them online for a huge profit and only have the regular model in store. Collect because you love the cars not for the rarity/profit 😊
Main difference is you can race your hot wheels and it won't kill you cause they're a $1or so which is a big factor in it's favor the other diecast obviously better quality and detail but are just for display.
Hot Wheels will never fade away or be replaced. No one makes a car like them where you can carry it around and play with it. Even dust them off without breaking something. I collect several brands myself but need to be careful with those higher detail models.
I love hot wheels. They will always be nostalgic to me as a collector. I do think MiniGT is the best value in Diecast. If they sold in major retail stores I believe they would own the premium diecast space. They could probably sell them for $10 too because of the volume. Muscle Machines are nostalgic for me too but to a lesser degree. I collected Muscle Machines in the 2000s alongside Hot-wheels. I never collected the Import Tuner stuff though. I felt the “carTooned” scale of these cars were represented best as Muscle cars. I have always wanted to go back and collect them but there’s just too much new stuff out their competing for my small die-cast budget. Great video.
I think the muscle machines are a good investment, I’m surprised they haven’t gotten crazy expensive like some modern import die casts. I think that’s because a lot of the import die cast collectors aren’t aware of their existence. When muscle machines originally made them the import scene wasn’t as popular as it is now and collectors who are now looking for imports have no clue they exist. I think their value will rise as more people discover them. I personally like them a lot and think they are great quality hidden gems. Get em while you can now cuz I believe as collectors become aware of them, they will greatly increase in value.
I collect the JADA import racers series and they were made in the same era to the muscle machines import tuners and they are very similar. I LOVE THEM!!!
Yea I like those older JADAs too, but they are really pricey….lol…$30+ now but they are really nice too. Fortunately I did not collect them as a kid so I don’t feel obligated to buy them now 😅
Hot wheels is the original. A lot of memories there as a kid. I am sure I will pick up one or so of premium diecast. There isn’t a lot of variety there either.
I've noticed that inno64 is starting to pick up some serious value on the second hand market, more so than mini gt i think. Just look at the regular release of the midnight purple GTR or any of the nismo releases. Not to speak of the green carbon chase. And i think were gonna see some serious value on the f40s aswell. My top 3 brands to collect is Hot Wheels, inno and mini gt, one doesn't cancel out the other but if i were to move on from hot wheels and only collect one brand it would be inno because of how much car you get for your money. I dont really care about second hand market value, it's just something i've noticed with inno.
Mini GT/Kaido House is the start. There's DCM, Focal Horizon, Master Models, Pop Race, Inno Models, and many more. Browse all brands and buy what you like.
You are comparing a $1.25 toy car to a $15-$20 model car. You also compared a ZAMAC R33 on the SECONDARY market to a retail minigt. Secondary market minigt will run you $25ish. Same thing with chases, STH are $40-$50 average (not considering pink Datsun or similar popular castings), minigt chases are double of STH. Long story short, people aren't ditching hot wheels for minigt.
I love the muscles machines sst and import tuners. I have some still in package. Unfortunately I opened and track tested some and the rear wings came off. However I looked at selling my nip models but they are worth more to me than the secondary market price. Hit me up if you want to see which ones I have. Also Revell did some great castings under the lowriders and euro lowriders. Gr8 show on mini gt too rich for my blood as well.✌️
Love the import tuners.. Use to collect them all the time over Hot Wheels. Then they changed to these dumb fat short weird looking cars. Somewhere packed away in my vast boxes I have hundreds of these that I forgot about until this video.. In process of moving so no way im gonna find them for a while. But thanks for the reminder of these.. I forgot how cool they were.
I have a little over One Hundred Collectors in my group . The # one complain in my area about KAIDO HOUSE mini GT is putting KAIDO HOUSE Everywhere !!!!!! The windows, panels, fenders, tailgate, roof, hood, door etc. stop it !!!!! And a lot more collectors will buy your products !!!!!
Why say EVERYONE when hardly No1 knows about these Brands even tho sum may look alil better but you Can't beat the HotWheels prices & some are just a work of art, mind you the fun part is Treasure hunting for HOTWHEELS i started collecting Hotwheels about 2-3 months ago and since then ive been addicted
I think mini gt x kaido house is definitely played out. With that said though, that wide body kit on the 33 is a legit kit, based on the real thing. Not fantasy. Maybe the r34 one is fantasy.
I like errors, but the error of your r33 makes me nuts.. wrong back wheels, that's crazy for that price point
WOW I did not realize this until I read your comment 😢
Thanks for pointing this out!
So what should it look like? I am not being cocky I just genuinely don't know
Now I’m wondering if that makes it more or less “valuable” compared to HW errors, and would you contact Kaido to have it replaced or compensation for it in some capacity.
what is wrong in it?
honestly, I love that tucked rear wheel look
Still collecting hotwheels, just not as much. Digging the Kaido House cars. Awesome vid! This was great insight to MM. I have a few but didn’t realize how much depth they had
Yea very biased opinion since I had MMs as a kid 😅 but it was a really cool product line
Jdm took over the diecast community love it. Not complaining
Ha no questioning that!
True! We need some muscle cars but with side mirrors. Most vintage cars don't have them and it's too bad.

@@DieCashCars Thank you for pinning my comment at the top my friend congrats to you my friend.👍
it's understandable! I think I'll collect Johnny's, matchbox, and others like that but my go to diecast brand will probably always be hot wheels
I also mostly collect hot wheels!
Congrats to the both of you mostly collecting hot wheels congrats again my friends.👍
Exactly. Love the real details. Hot wheels can’t even get closer
Them Muscle Machines are slept on big time, especially the JDM.
Absolutely

That 1:18 white s15 has been in my collection since I bought it way back when it came out.
Wow nice pick up!!
Those Muscle Machines are great! Honestly the current brand could make great castings if they were to make non-toon cars.
Yea I wish they brought back the old style…tooned is played out
@@DieCashCars yeah, and thanks for the rabbit hole by the way 😅
First diecast I ever got back in the 90s was a 69 blown Camaro by muscle machines. And I still got it
Yea all the MMs in the early 2000s were so different from every other diecast back then
Where can you pick them up anywhere locally?!?!
I will continue to buy HW premium once or twice a year. More accurately people are dumping RLC over Kaido House/mini gt. But HW is still loved overall.

It’s a shame these scalpers are also doing the jump to these better brands and inflating the price of the models 🤧
It's happening.. Especially in Malaysia after MDX 2024🤣

MM needs to get back to standing on bidness and make more import casting. I know it’s “muscle” in the name but cmon bruh gimme somethin!
bro has never tried pop race before
I have a bumnch of Import MM from whne i was a kid still NIB. Ill send some pics on IG to you.
Sweet, would love to see it
Mini GT non KH is the best to be honest they make HW look like trash.
Kaido house cars are usually very ugly. I do like regular mini GTs though
Other models have better looks for better price
Too expensive
Agreed, that’s why I only buy the mini GT’s I really want
