I love how even the one piece longtime fans were like "KOBY?" at the end when the marines showed up. Really shows how the directors wanted to change some things, not just to accommodate the new format, but to make it exciting for the fans too.

Yes, but they need to be careful. They want to make more episodes so who knows how far they’ll go & if they go far, they have already changed the ending of a future arc by introducing Garp so early. I supposed they probably won’t get to the summit war since the budget would probably cost around 100m per episode because of all the devil fruit powers, but Enies Lobby is considered the best of One Piece & it would be real interesting to see if they go that far.
@@daddynanners3944 Well I'm fairly certain every major change was green-lit by Oda himself, so I can't imagine him of all people somehow ruining the story.
@@daddynanners3944 Eh, the change for that future arc isn't really that significant in the long run of the story. It changes the order of a few conversations but all said conversations are still happening for the viewers. And there can still be plenty to talk about in that Garp scene, because there is another big bomb dropped in that conversation that hasn't been revealed in live action.
The game garp plays with Coby is called "GO" it trains your mine for coming up with strategies on a battle field...

I hate how people will see a sheep person and devil fruit powers and go dam so cool, but when it’s blue tea everyone immediately thinks it poison and guesses the plot instantly. CUZ IN A WORLD WITH SEA BEAST BLUE TEA IS OUTRAGEOUS!
It's probably because things that are designed to be fantastical in a fictional story are mostly done so to make them cooler and more enjoyable. There's nothing particularly hype about blue tea so that makes it more strange that the story makers would put it in, therefore making it more suspicious (especially when the story doesn't give any kind of explanation for it right away. Even more suspicious if it's something being consumed by a likeable character who looks sick).
I mean, its not a stretch. Its a very easy plot to guess, even in a fantasy setting.

I wonder sometimes if Chopper was in this part of the story if, as a doctor, he would have been suspicious after seeing the tea/soup or smelling the tea/soup or after seeing Kaya. I mean, it could be possible for a doctor to tell the difference on sight between someone who's sick and someone who's being poisoned.

they've done such a pretty job with this Live Action that everything just amazes me! Even that poor small snail-phone! They didn't have to, but the made it cough so cutely and that just gave a little nice touch! So many amazing small things like this make this show even better
From following the manga/anime, hearing his stories in this episode is my favorite part of the entire series. Then watching some of the reactor's who don't know about, 5 Star God Usopp, is just the icing on the cake.

What I want to know is if Ussop started adding stories about 'The Great Captain Ussop' before or after his mother died. My own guess is that seeing his mother die after (in his eyes) failing to will his father to come back, and not doing anything about it made him feel guilty, so he started creating stories about himself being a hero to relieve his guilt.

That’s basically it.
From his mom dying of illness & his dad not coming back, Usopp’s lies became pathological as a coping mechanism.
The stories may have taken place before his mother died, as he still had to cope with his father never returning. But I'm pretty confident he didn't start the morning alarm "Pirates are coming!" until after his mother died because it took his need to cope to a whole other level.
