As a Celtic fan, I say long may this last but I can also empathise with your pain as I went through much the same in the 90's and I'm not sure I could have done this, so respect to you.
The difference was that we played well in the 90s. There was always some heroic performance from that goalkeeper to deny us..

Exact same feeling for Celtic fans in the 90s pal, the board is so disinterested at this point is going to take a proper revolution to overhaul the club and I hope that happens and we have a proper rivalry once again. But the reason the club is in the state it’s in is because youse cheated and this is punishment for it, no fault of the fans and I sympathise for them.

I mean look how good yous played against us at Ibrox compared to yesterday and it was all down to the formation and the selection, as soon as it was released that windass was on the bench that's when the penny dropped that Murty didn't know what he is doing

Hard video to make mate but respect for that. I'm not being funny but as I read the comments I see more Rangers fans in good humour than I would have expected. I have seen Celtic in this situation before where the prospect of a clean slate for the next season can bring its own excitement.
You're a good man CJ and passionate about your club - respect to you mate and I enjoy listening to you and respect your opinion. It's a pity some / all of the people running Rangers don't / won't address the live issues currently at Rangers. As you know I'm a Celtic fan and I'm not on to gloat or rip the piss; but right now it seems like it's going to be a long, hard road ahead until someone is prepared to put up some cash and help Rangers. The current team you have contains very few players who look likely they will be there for the long haul. Not sure it will be as simple as a Fergus McCann type scenario when someone will invest 5 million quid and run the business side of the club leave the football to footballing people.
Your Goalie is constantly under pressure in the bigger games and eventually the dam will burst and he will ship goals with the amount of chances created. He made a terribly poor decision in the last Old Firm game when Dembele equalised and has to accept that. Alves, Cardoso, Martin aren't the answer but I really the like the looks of the young boy Ross McRorie, think he is a very decent player, shame the boy got injured when he did, but he is a player well worth investing in, and hopefully for Scotland as well. His youth and inexperience will lead to mistakes, but I think it's important that younger players in particular must be allowed to make mistakes in order to learn and develop so long as it not a constant weekly occurrence, then it's either the player is not coachable or the manager / coach isn't doing their job to identify and rectify the issues.
While they are young and still learning there will be inconsistent performances along the way. Sadly for you; but good from my point of view; Rangers just now don't have the likes of a Brendan Rodgers and his backroom staff to help the kids develop and progress. To compare the squads; Celtic have a very decent young group of players including Kris Ajer 19, KT at 20, Jozo Siminovic 23, Tony Ralston 19, Olivier Ntcham 22, Patrick Roberts 21, Moussa Dembele 21, Odsonne Edourd 20 all learning their trade under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers and his coaching staff but not yet able to perform consistently in Europe. Add in the experienced players on the park that also help these young kids and their development. As you pointed out there was a massive gulf in the strength of the 2 benches for last nights game.
To be honest, I don't know anything about the development squad at Rangers or what players are on the horizon or coming through but there definitely seems to be a huge difference between where Celtic and Rangers are at just now. I'm not seeing any leadership on the park from the players such as Martin, Dorrans, Tavernier, Halliday, Alves, (always seems to pick up an injury when Celtic are in town - just an observation) Greg Docherty still finding his feet playing for Rangers and learning, also think David Bates is a decent player and a shame for Rangers he's now away to Germany, he was worth keeping I think. Ryan Jack being injured doesnt help either but the current squad at Rangers is still quite a way behind Celtic, which I'm pretty happy about to be honest. As you know mate, football is funny game and nothing last forever, but I'm hoping I can see Celtic enjoy some more success and 10 in a row. I will enjoy it while it lasts. Take care mate.

Rangers showed up today with as much resolve as a vigorously overused teenage fleshlight, and Celtic with just enough wit to ram home what belongs in said fleshlight.
Let's not pretend Celtic are a good team here, Rangers are still in massive recovery and Celtic's european campaign really show's that no team in Scotland is great anymore.

Celtic fan here. I think that Murty isn’t all to blame. He went out with the wrong tactics but he can’t control the poor decisions the players made. Giving away 2 penalties in a game like that is shambolic and the second goal was gifted to McGregor. You can’t blame Murty for that.

Today was, without doubt, the absolute worst performance against them I have ever seen!! This rangers team is the worst I have ever seen, since my first game in 1986. There is no fight in the playing staff, we look absolutely terrified of them today. The management team are clueless and have no idea how to set up or change should they need to, Brenda watched the 1st 5 minutes and changed their shape and won the game from there. 53 Minutes to get a shot on the board, 53...against our rivals in a cup semi-final!! How the hell does that happen. No one, not one single player, gets a pass mark for that shite today. Usually a few hours after the games I have calmed down but I can't today. Like you say, Craig, it goes all the way to board level. We need to know what they plan to do, where are they taking the club and do they even want control?? If not sell and get the fuck out! Running our club on the cheap and giving us managers no one has heard of, spending what little money we have on shite, we must be the only club to go to south America to get a player and find sweet FA!! I agree now that Murty can not do any more and should be gone, preferably by sunrise and they need to find someone who knows how to manage players, can see what he needs to do 15 minutes before anyone else can!! Who is that I have no idea right now and initially Steve Clarke is the only plausible candidate. But who in their right mind would want to come to us right now!!!

I don't get why everyone praises Docherty he is a player for the future not for now. Martin & Alves are our most experienced CBs whether they are playing well or not and Mcrorie plays better at CDM. Dorrans has been out for so long he should be anywhere near a semi final especially an Old Firm one. Miller always turns up against them and played well last game so I am lost as to why he started on the bench. As for Windass he is dynamite when you play him just behind Morelos and even though El Buffalo missed yet another sitter I feel sorry for him because he is the only one who put his weight about and actually ran for everything
Ass much as Windass has scored goals he doesn’t give enough to the overall game, out of that midfield docherty stood out, he has the most assist for a Scottish player and that was with Hamilton, best way to develop a player is show faith in him and let him focus on his game
By far the worst Rangers performance I've ever seen. I do feel bad for Murty because he's trying his hardest to maintain a unity and build a team that can beat Celtic. He's out of his depth. Now we need to fund into another manager with PL expierience or a Steve Clarke-esque and with signings this summer. It's now all about getting their confidence back up and make dure we don't slip down the table and get results. We can't afford this to make us easy to beat anytime soon or we'll end up in 4th or 5th if we play like Brechin again.

Martin: 1.1/10, fucking god awful, all he does is make a few attempted clearances that gifts every opposition a goal. I'm glad we've not got him permanently. I would happily pick fucking EMILSON CIBARI over him
John: 3/10, where the fuck was he the whole game?
Halliday: -10/10, the worst ever performer in the team. He was clueless and left Dorrans at CDM which was a massive mistake.
Docherty: 6/10, he was passive, but was the only midfielder that was challenging. You could see he was trying and was the only one trying. Best player in our team by far today.
Candeias: 1/10, gave away balls all the time. He can't pass a fucking ball.
Dorrans: 3/10, again. Where was he meant to be playing? He was shoved into his weakest position, he's not a DLP
Murphy: 4/10, kept quiet all game, and John wasn't helping.
Morelos: 2/10, abysmal, 2 (TWOO) sitters he's missed. Gordon was sitting on his ass yet he couldn't score. I'd gladly sell him this summer.

Alves: 5/10, looked more solid than McCrorie when he came on

Overall: That performance is comparable to those 5-1 defeats. Worst performance this season by far.

I feel sorry for Graeme Murty. Being a youth coach is his level. He has been hung out to dry by a board which hasn't done its job and there is such a huge imbalance in resources between the 2 clubs. I am a Celtic fan and I like cj novo. He wears his heart on his sleeve and expresses his opinions forcefully. What I like most of all he never tries to delude himself and will call his team out if they are at fault.

Don't know what happened like. I was watching the Rangers V Celtic 2-3 game. Rangers really hand a chance at winning that. They were up for it, they were physical and quick and caught celtic off guard. They were up for a fight. Yea Morelos fucked it up and that fucked up your only good chance of beating them. But I thought they were very up for it that day.
I thought the same would have been again yesterday but I mean... what? Rangers are not a bad side but dear oh dear they were beat up with pinkies (pinky finger) 🤚
You made another good point there about the signings as well. I feel you had great players but you do need to replace the ones that are leaving with even better players. Myself as a hibs fan, Cummings was a good striker, but he honestly isn't that good. He just seemed to play great against rangers every time they played I'm not even joking lol. Kenny M is a much bigger threat up front as he can get his head on it. I noticed rangers before were really good with aerial (if that's the right word) play, getting it in the box and big kenny heading it in. I would honestly get a good Physical presence up front for you lot like Kenny was who could bang in the headers. I mean that's just me. Morelos I mean, idk he's a bit unreliable, that's a good few absolute sitters/ big chances he's missed now. One or two isn't bad, but going on 5 sitters is awful. (No as bad as Benteke for Palace though lol 😂)

Celtic fan here and another fair play video from you on your team, I respect your honestly and guts to make something like this after such a tough day for your team. I honestly wasn't expecting such a result but like the game at Ibrox I was very baffled by your managers tactics, he just seems so naive at this level and an experienced boss like Brendan Rodgers has completely exposed him again. We have been through dark days, such as the 90's when the stodgy old board refused to recognize reality and adapt and Rangers are in a similar position. Loans and reputation signings will not progress a team that needs to rebuild, money should be pumped into academies and youth coaching to build good players. They say doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity and as an outsider your board looks insane.
"No shit Sherlock..." It was also a temporary thing, but Rangers should've had this sorted long ago. Who knows, maybe they have someone up their sleeve. I would most definitely want an experienced Scottish manager or at least an experienced assistant/director of football. Watched a few of your honest accounts of your team performances, and I have to say you always give a fair view. But I agree with JohnnyBoySoul as a Celtic fan Myself we had to endure hard times in the 90s and it is sickening to the core to watch. But time will see Rangers rise again like Celtic did over the last few decades, But until then The Rangers fans will have to suffer hard time some more.

The problem ahead is rangers need a clear out this summer, but how much money does rangers have to get a new manager & players in, considering the club financial debt. The board are to blame, Murty is in my eyes still the care taker manager because a manager was never really appointed to replace the existing one.

1) I was keen on keeping Murty next season, but that proved he doesn’t deserve the job, absolutely clueless yet again.
2) I think Halliday is quite right to be fuming when he gets hooked before half time, when Morelos then goes into play 90 minutes.
3) Alves needs to get to fuck, another Old Firm he’s hobbled off injured.
4) Martin is never a Rangers player.
5) We won’t sign Cummings in the summer.
6) Tavernier is never a Rangers captain
7) I don’t think Morelos should start a game ever again.
8) Declan John wasn’t involved in the game, yet again he was overlapping runs and not getting the ball played to him.

Absolute disgrace. Again, Murty's blind faith in Morelos, who by now, we should all agree, is mostly goal-allergic, has cost us. The defence was simply pathetic. No Miller, no Cummdog, who if i'm no mistaken, was brought in, as a finisher. And he just sits on the bench. I blame Jimmy Nichol, as much as Murty. Murty did not put windass at cdm he put him in his usual position in a 4231 he clearly hand gestured to the team he wanted them to play 4231 not once but twice to ensure they all knew what they were doing. What did they do???? they ignored him. Windass was not getting a touch so he decided to play cdm to try and get on the ball a bit like miller playing at right back to get on the ball that's just how bad we were today.

2 players who when it comes to player ratings have earned a 4 and above. Tavernier got himself a 4 and Docherty got himself a 5. To me, the only two players who tried, who actually put in some sort of a positive shift (if you can call that tackling people off a ball and making a few forward passes) Candeias has a 3 could've been a 4 but he got subbed off and his crosses were mostly below par though again NO ONE made an effort to go for the ball.
Ive never been so disappointed in a rangers team then that in my life. This is more embarrassing then all 5-1 defeats to celtic in the last 5 years combined. At least we actually tried in those Defeats. And this “rangers players were cheering in the changing rooms when they got drawn with celtic” had to be complete bullshit. Theres something wrong with the rangers team which goes beyond the players and potentially beyond the manager. Id seperate it as 15% players, 55% manager, 30% board. Never been so disappointed in a rangers team. We better beat 5 of the top 6 teams by 2 goals or above to cheer me up.

I'd let Jimmy Nichol take over for the last 5 games. I feel he probably doesn't want undermine Murty so takes a back step.I think if Nichol was in charge for the last 5 games he'd kick a few arses. I would actually get rid of the whole background staff at the end of the season. The reaction of Jonatan Johansson during the Halliday debacle showed a man who looked like he was going to burst into tears. A scared rabbit caught in headlights. This is why Pedro signed people like this for his backroom team rather than Barry Ferguson. People with no balls, who will not challenge players or managerial decisions. Murty looked like a man totally out of his depth after the game and I would be surprised if he doesn't hand the reigns over before the season ends. I feel sorry for him as he is a decent man but way out of his depth.
What really really surprises me is that, so many bears are really really surprised at this result. I'm baffled as to why every time we play them, we think we can win. OK, we won a game under MW, but shite teams do win the odd big game. To realistically think we can beat them every game, we need to get rid of the crap we have. At least 80% of our squad will never be good enough and the other 20% would be lucky to start a game. We're still at the drawing board and I doubt we will make much progress next season. when I looked at the penalty incident after the game. I thought it wasn't a red card because of the "DOGSO" rule ( denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity), it was setup up because the referees deemed the old rule to be double punishment for the team who lost a man. I did this for my refereeing exam.

Personally, I never got carried away with all the hype when we won a good few games in a row because it means nothing until we beat Celtic. There is still a massive gap in quality. An experienced manager and a good few quality signings is crucial for us next season. Unsure if you noticed candyass walking straight down the tunnel when he was subbed off (which I thought was the wrong move on Murtys part) to me it seems as though the players aren’t agreeing with what’s he trying to do, what’s your views on that? He hasn’t got the credentials to be a rangers manager and shouldn’t have been appointed in the first place, really feel for him in someways as the board have made an absolute cunt of him. But today’s performance was the worst in years.
Should have gone and played an attacking formation as Celtic weaknesses are in defense if u play defensive they will score with the players they have in team, McCrorie wasnt match fit , Dorrans has only just come back and possibly hasnt got the legs anymore, Halliday again not played much and wouldnt expect him to compete on same level as the celtic midfielders,Moreles was isolated up front had no real chance, I would have played Cummings , Miller up front ,Windass just behind Murphy Docherty Candeass in midfield with Alves in for McCrorie in back line Martin, John , Tavernier ,Fods in goal , atleast this team would get possession and go forward

Fair play to Celtic today by far and away the better side, they fully deserved their victory. Having said that, we were so very poor today. It's an all too familiar theme. The thing that makes that defeat so hard to take was just a sheer lack of, well, anything! In certain matches where we lose you can take some positives and although not a nice feeling you can feel somewhat encouraged by certain periods of play. That today was just a punt in the balls! Gutted.
The neds are given too much respect and it is possible their ned fans as they have been doing for years ,are intimidating Rangers players outwith traing or daily life.
