Had the pleasure at some Grand Prix in the golden era as a spectator. 40 x 500cc on the starting line? You will never forget! Bring back the 500s! Sold around 20 years ago my KX500. It was a bad day see her gone...
Every time i see either a old swedish built Husqvarna or a Husaberg i feel a sense of pride and with both being within 30-50min from here i have talked with former staf
My best friends older brother in the early eighties had a 430 husky with a black and chrome tank, very fast and loud. He would race anyone on dead end road we liked on while he was on a wheelie! And beat them. He also had can-ams, Bultaccos. Ice raced for Gardner Cycles, no longer in business. Great memories. Thank you guys for bringing them back!!🇺🇸
Wow! What a beautiful 1986 cr500mx, that's a beast. I remember when Husqvarna used to run the exhaust underneath the fender I seen a Husqvarna one time with double exhaust. God has Husqvarna came a far away RRRRRRRRRIP The house off the foundation Kaplan cycles 🏁 number one New England motorcycle museum best in the world. Great video! Ken, great film in Ronnie 🤘🇺🇲🏁
Mr. Kaplan, You are still fearless, don't sell yourself short. I know you can still do it. I'm a recent double amputee and my life's goal was to have a Harley, I'll never get one now. I'd need a trike as I am now. God Bless all of you and be safe when ripping around, brother.
there are different trike models by harley and honda also, likely among others.. Another possible option could be an automatic can am spider. In kaplan's vid pub 5-8-24 when he's showing and describing the super fast Buell in one of the floors of the musem well parked real close is a nice Harley trike... generally they have at least a couple if not more than a few trikes there in the msem and the shop... i've noticed trikes here and there in the what is now manyyyy kaplan vids i've seen over the past over 1.5 years since i first ever saw kaplan vids. point i guess i'm tring to make is yah trikes are good and they are widely available... So, if you can and want to then get yourself a trike.
That’s my bike right there. If I could find one of the older ones with the steel tank… I used to have a bumper sticker that said “real men kick with their left leg”. People thought I played soccer 🤔
🐝🏁 Fast bike, I remember practice with Jeff Ward, yes Ken Jeff Ward was so fast, Johnny O'Mara was very fast. Small Men on 2 stroke 500 fun to watch them ride. I love watching you riding your dream all those Bikes 👍👍👍🫵
There's that seat again. You just don't see those KTM'S, it's so strange how it's been 43 years since 1980 and these came out wow. I mean bikes that are jumped. Totally masculine.
Another amazing video. What a stunning and gorgeous, vintage, 2 stroke mx dirtbike monster. Looks brand new and fresh out of the crate. Justin is an awesome person and employee. You definitely have a Sensor For Talent, regarding the people you hire as employees. They all have far above average, rare talent. I found Justin's You Tube Page, and subscribed to it. Ran into it by accident. Had no clue he was on You Tube. He has some really good content. Hope you had a good day at work, brother. ML&R.
I remember in the 1980s getting a ride on a Maico 490. OMG it pulled my arms out of my socket. Then I got a ride on a Husqvarna 500 OMG it was unbelievable. I thought my cr 125 was powerful.
1986 🤜🤯🤛 holy Swissish Awesomeness Bat Man ,I Would Love To Own This Dirt Bike ,Mr Ken ,But i know Before i put in A Bid in it Will Be Gone 🤔 & ur Right About Respecting The HP Power ,On These 500 Big Bore Bikes & i Love The Sound Coming Out This Bike 😳🤜🤯🤛😳
Absolutely wicked bike! I would love to trade you my 2017 KX 450 in on that or any 500 2 smoke. Memories of my 84 M-star 500, it was without a doubt the most powerful machine I had ever straddled!
the other cr500 big fan of husqvarna over here currently have a kx500 and a yz490 in the garage but definitely want to be able to get one of these one day
I had what I thought was 1988 XC 490, but not sure. Same as that with ohlins. I thought mine was left chain drive and left kick. But I had my chain too tight and it broke the bearing. Rebuilt it, but messed up the ignition, got aftermarket ignition, but it never started as good, like it didn't get enough spark from kicking it. Husky sent me a new engine cover because they used magnesium for the water pump area and it corroded, they switched to aluminum and provided for free. Silencer blew off and it was loud. Way too much power for me, wrecked it when jumping, front high, went off back. Almost broke my leg.
Love it… Hey, who else noticed the huge row of motorcycles off to the side? That means we got a huge video dump coming. YEES!!!! What are you doing Ken? You're not supposed to be riding. One little mistake and you could screw your leg up again and there goes AmeriCade!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅
It's one word, not two. Husqvarna not Husqa varna. Husq-var-na. Maybe Hooskvarna. It took a while for people to stop saying Porsch, so can we please stop saying Husq-ah-varna... Thanks.
The sound of a 2 stroke dirt bike is the sound of my youth and the music of my people
Yes, they can keep their 4 strokes and EV bikes.
Had the pleasure at some Grand Prix in the golden era as a spectator.

They were a very unique machine back in 1986-87 and they are even more unique now👍🏼
My foundation cracked as you went up and down the driveway at NEMM..!!

Love watching your channel, it just brings back memories of my youth.. 😎👌
I had the WR400 version, along with a Maico 490... great memories.
I desert raced a 500 XC here in SoCal back in the 80’s, what I would give to have that bike back today.

JUSTIN YOUR THE BOSS 💯🏁 Very humble man with A MASTER AT TUNING 💪👍
he's pretty much still a kid too.... give him some more years and he'll likely get even better.
Bought a brand new one from service Honda back in the day 😊 it was awesome, I loved the Ohlins suspension !

Had me looking at the calendar n shit 😂
What an amazing piece ! I’ve never seen one in person , looks like a really cool bike and definitely ahead of its time. Thanks for sharing !
Those were beautiful. I got to ride the 1985 250 for few laps when the regional rep came riding with some of us on a Sunday back then.
Man, big bore bikes just have that sound that gets your heart racing
Great bike and as always, great stories and recollections about a fruitful youth.
Torque Monster 😎🏁
The vrooms and the popps!
That thing is awesome.
That is absolutely gorgeous! 😍😍😍😍
Love the 87 big bores I was lucky to pick up a XC 430 and WR 430. Beautiful bikes.

I don't think they were KTM's back in '86. KTM was still making the big bore air hammers back then.
My head was in the clouds, I didn't realize that it was a Husky.

I'm big on Huskys, KTMs and Gas Gas. That thing is just a beauty.
The motorcycle that made the great One's. The great One's.
That's Motocross.

OMG it pulled my arms out of my socket.
Then I got a ride on a Husqvarna 500 OMG it was unbelievable.
I thought my cr 125 was powerful.
That is a super clean bike wow some one took a lot of care for that monster

A Swedish Masterpiece
Hell of a nice bike, looks brand new 👍
Husqvarna is kinda crazy I mean they started out making some of the best and most accurate guns and rifles ever made.
She's a snappy old girl. !!!!

Bang Bang Bang 👍
That is pure ununobtainyum!
Oh man! Now that's what a big bore is supposed to sound like!
There are relatively few people who can actually get the most out of a 125 2stroke. Chances are, if you’re getting beat on a 125, it’s not the bike
thats f..ked up,, what a beast,, beautiful.😁
Next to my dream RM500, yup, that is a close 2nd....maybe 1.1 dream ❤❤❤
I was all over the 84 rm500 but it was disappointing, slowest 500 2 cycle i ever rode
@andreawhalen4142 Don't matter, just love the look of the RM, my 1st RM was a 79 RM80 with the square fenders, and have loved Suzukis ever since
Love it… Hey, who else noticed the huge row of motorcycles off to the side? That means we got a huge video dump coming. YEES!!!! What are you doing Ken? You're not supposed to be riding. One little mistake and you could screw your leg up again and there goes AmeriCade!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅
That's exactly what Chrissy said but if I don't keep pushing we go bankrupt
Moto 2 tp d'homme 👍❗
HEIKKI MIKKOLA approves this video and appreciates the build
Gorgeous, would love to own it.
How much ya think it’ll go for?
Appreciate ya!

Que impresionante Maquina Cross Coumtry
First of all , the bikes a sweet heart , secondly , how many miles of gold chain have you spooled on over the last few years ? 😊
Love it. I hope to win the lottery so i can start a collection 😊
What about the frame rails?
Do you have any yamaha tw200's. Or a 79 Norton p11 scrambler?
Wow, she's Mint!
Damn nice old bike fr
I knew you couldn’t stay off the motorcycles.
I had an 85 500 XC.
Why left kick ?
Soo much room to wrench around in that underbelly. You could literally open palm your way in to remove the carb.
Strange that they had the same model name (cr500) than Honda...
More power than I can use… pretty humble.. I doubt it.. you are not the fait of heat type.
Looks like my mtx n cr hybrid .
