Sold around 20 years ago my KX500. It was a bad day see her gone...
Every time i see either a old swedish built Husqvarna or a Husaberg i feel a sense of pride and with both being within 30-50min from here i have talked with former staf
They were a very unique machine back in 1986-87 and they are even more unique now👍🏼

My best friends older brother in the early eighties had a 430 husky with a black and chrome tank, very fast and loud. He would race anyone on dead end road we liked on while he was on a wheelie! And beat them. He also had can-ams, Bultaccos. Ice raced for Gardner Cycles, no longer in business. Great memories. Thank you guys for bringing them back!!🇺🇸
I desert raced a 500 XC here in SoCal back in the 80’s, what I would give to have that bike back today.

There's that seat again. You just don't see those KTM'S, it's so strange how it's been 43 years since 1980 and these came out wow. I mean bikes that are jumped. Totally masculine.
I don't think they were KTM's back in '86. KTM was still making the big bore air hammers back then.
My head was in the clouds, I didn't realize that it was a Husky.

Harley sells a trike go get yourself one or a Honda like the one I'm going to be listing this weekend
there are different trike models by harley and honda also, likely among others.. Another possible option could be an automatic can am spider.
In kaplan's vid pub 5-8-24 when he's showing and describing the super fast Buell in one of the floors of the musem well parked real close is a nice Harley trike... generally they have at least a couple if not more than a few trikes there in the msem and the shop... i've noticed trikes here and there in the what is now manyyyy kaplan vids i've seen over the past over 1.5 years since i first ever saw kaplan vids.
point i guess i'm tring to make is yah trikes are good and they are widely available... So, if you can and want to then get yourself a trike.

I remember in the 1980s getting a ride on a Maico 490.
OMG it pulled my arms out of my socket.
Then I got a ride on a Husqvarna 500 OMG it was unbelievable.
I thought my cr 125 was powerful.

I was all over the 84 rm500 but it was disappointing, slowest 500 2 cycle i ever rode
@andreawhalen4142 Don't matter, just love the look of the RM, my 1st RM was a 79 RM80 with the square fenders, and have loved Suzukis ever since

I had what I thought was 1988 XC 490, but not sure. Same as that with ohlins. I thought mine was left chain drive and left kick. But I had my chain too tight and it broke the bearing. Rebuilt it, but messed up the ignition, got aftermarket ignition, but it never started as good, like it didn't get enough spark from kicking it. Husky sent me a new engine cover because they used magnesium for the water pump area and it corroded, they switched to aluminum and provided for free. Silencer blew off and it was loud. Way too much power for me, wrecked it when jumping, front high, went off back. Almost broke my leg.

There are relatively few people who can actually get the most out of a 125 2stroke. Chances are, if you’re getting beat on a 125, it’s not the bike
