I used to love tbat big sound, but now as a middle aged man I'm all about 12-14-20 . But these drums sound absolutely, insanely beautifully huge. Great drum kit and video as usual !
I love both the big drum sound and the small. The solution (written jokingly) is to have enough drums on your kit to fulfill all your sonic desires!

really impressed with the way the 15" sounded as a rack tom and tuned with the kit. I think a 15" tuned up higher pitched on a kit this size is awesome and sounds fantastic!!

Monster bass drum. I have a DW 24X18, which is a cannon. Love it. And the Gretsch sounds and looks beautiful!!

Wow. That kit sounds awesome! I love this video. My drums have been getting smaller and smaller over the years just to make getting them to and from gigs easier, but when I hear something like this, I feel like I might be missing out.

That is an absolute BEAST of a kit. Let us know if you’re planning on gigging with that. Because if you’re playing in Portsmouth, I’m sure my friends who go to school in Southern California will be able to hear those drums because of how much they project. In a few years I may custom order a Renown Kit (once I’m out of college and have a place of my own where I can create a home studio with soundproofed walls and everything). Love your demos, especially the high end Gretsch, Yamaha and Ludwig shootout videos!!

For real. I've got Hyperdrive Toms, and the only thing they are driving is: me crazy. When i finally earn real money, i'm gonna spend two months salary on a 13x11 15x12 18x16 20x18 26x20 custom set, and it's gonna be legen- wait for it -dary. Legendary.
My previous Setup was 24-15-16-18 and god it's the best config ever... i have a 14" now and desperately want a 15" back in front !
I was torn between a Tama B/B Starclassic and a Gretsch Renown/Broadkaster and wound up with the Tama but damn it do you make a compelling argument for buying one of these sometime down the road too! I love how low but huge they’re tuned. Sick kit man, I hope they bring you joy for decades to come!

These sound incredible! they are BOOMING! While my tastes in sizes & sounds are nearly on the opposite end of the spectrum, I appreciate this kit to its fullest. In the right context, these drums will SLAM.

Those look beautiful! I got a Mapex custom with the same sizes, minus the bass drums. The toms sound massive. All my bandmates have hug speaker cabinets, so I needed some big drums to keep up.
So that's what you were so excited about yesterday when I was in the shop.
