On the island of Taiwan far off the Pacific West coast,lies a railway with over 100 years of history.She crosses tropical, subtropical, and temperate climate regionsand is a combination of the mountains, forest, and railroad tracks. Unfortunately, a series of catastrophes rarely seen in Taiwanese history fell upon her. First she was ravaged by Typhoon Herbert,then came the Earthquake of 921, and finally the arrival of Typhoon Morakot. These natural events weakened her tremendously. Facing the biggest challenge in the last hundred years,can the people of Taiwan bring her back to glory? And restore her former beautyso that we may continue to listen to her stories…
I don't understand Chinese but would like to visit these beautiful mountains.

現在好像就只有從嘉義火車站道奮起湖而已
紀錄片裡的劇本真的寫的很讚👍
哈瞜~工程還在持續進行中~~我相信總會有全線通車那天到來
最可惜的是眠月石猴線，若也能修復就更好了!

廖嘉祥 支線眾多 且營運效果較不如其他主力線 另外 大部分支線 大多已埋藏在荒草樹木之中 還有的已拆除全線
