"jumped out of the car, while I was driving." Do Brits not get this class in Primary school? How are you going to jump out of a mustang loaded with high explosives just before it crashes into the reinforced steel door of the bad guy's base, so you can walk in through the flaming wreckage with an AR-15 in each hand and deliver freedom and justice?
Music Man has got to be one of the best guitar makers ever. The craftsmanship on their guitars is second to none. I have a Neptune Blue Axis with sterling pups and it is absolutely stunning.
As a long time subscriber, im so happy to see you networking with so many wonderful companies! both of those guitars sounded sooo amazing!! The Axis had such rich harmonics when you would bend and vibrato! Really pierced my soul!
Yeah I don't get this either. You can give me a free guitar. No wait never mind don't. I don't know what it is but I don't like any guitars Music Man makes. They all look ugly to me.
Yeah, well... exposure of their product through a well known individual is kind of the entire point with these types of gifts. If they sent it to some unknown yt bozo there wouldn't be anything in it for them in return... it's called business, they're not just being "nice". Quid pro quo.
I've been looking forward to seeing these axes, and they certainly don't disappoint! Also, glad to see you're still keeping the blue Chapman warm for me Rob :)
28 guitars in my collection and ...my MM Axis still ranking high after 18 years or so ... these are very special guitars and one can feel it right from the first touch ...congratulations ... very nice pieces of gear.
Chappers, how about a copper top for an ML2, etched and embossed like the Snake-oil pedals? That would look so good, especially with a little bit of ammonia & salt induced verdigris!
Mr. Rob Chappers, You have gracious friends and family and i am not envious of you, but i am rather ecstatic for you! Congratulations to your new playable pieces of art (i call my custom builds my "children" since they are the brainchild product of talented peoples). Long story short, enjoy and i really dig the builds. I am waiting on a custom build as we speak....about another month or so after she leaves the finishing studio I'll showcase. Awesome stuff man^^^
I absolutely love the new Chapman playing man. Shows off a side of you the shred stuff lacked, for lack of a better term, emotion. You had soul, but now even your heavy shreds stuff has beautiful and soul to it. Absolutely stunning playing and tone. Cheers from a bassist🍻🤟
I love that the first thing Rob did was put a slide on it, them 'buckers be yummy! Aaarr .. but then Rob said thank you on the second guitar .. dude has musical language in his fingers. Congrats, Man! And thank you. Peace Out Cub Scout!
Imagine if the owner of Honda, went and made a video about how good Ford is and how he was so happy that Ford had made him a custom car. That's one of the reasons I love Rob Chapman and the guitar industry. I will eventually own a Chapman guitar even though there are no guitar stores that sell them anywhere near me. The world would be a better place if other companies would learn to cooperate with competitors to develop better products for us consumers. Thanks Rob, you're great!
Wow. How cool is that! 2 custom MusicMan guitars built to your own spec for free. Must be nice to live in your world. Lol. I been playing the same old Mexican Strat for the past 4 years without an amp. Lol.
Beautiful pair of guitars. I have a bunch of EBMM guitars including an Axis SS. The neck does feel a little different flipping from one guitar to the another as i believe it is an asymmetrical cross section. Your's is mint!
Congrats Rob, I wondered what ever happened to the Armada. It seems quite a while ago you were specing it out. Glad to see final result it is beautiful. Love the top. So hard to beat a music Man guitar. Every one I own is quality piece of work. Someday I hope to get a British made Chapman to compare to.
They both look stunning! How do they bind the neck and headstock? I know they pour it in for the body, do they use the same process for the neck and headstock?
Nice guitars. Like the first one in particular. Spoilt for choice now with amps and guitars. Do you ever feel bewildered looking for a tone etc with all the options you have?
Great video Rob! How would you describe the neck of the Armada from a Gibson prospective? I get that they are different but I am trying to understand how thick the neck is, how it's shaped & how it feels generally speaking. Thanks!!
That bluesy riffing on the first guitar... Man... I was feeling it. Anyway, how about a massive gear wank video where you show us bunch guitars and/or amps and/or pedals from your collection? I wold personally love to just see the variety of gear you have come to possess.
great slide guitar! great shape! phew! finally something thats not a copy of a strat/gibson!! run with it rob! and do more slide ( theres more cudos than normal) A+++
Many thanks to the awesome Music Man family for this amazing gift ;-)
Music Men*
I see you got the Bassbreaker! I have the 45 and I love it!

The second one sounds absolutely incredible.
What a great Pair you have there Rob... :D
Every youtuber with MM guitar : sherds and play metal
Rob : pulls out his slider
Rob with any other guitar : shredding and metal lol
That was badass af
Kristian Utomo Tobing
Sherded it.......
Dave Males lighten up Francis. Whatever sinister criticism you think he’s making, he wasn’t.
Kent Carlevi is why I bought an axis.
Wow! The armada is stunning!! The finish, the wood absolutely gorgeous!
Lucky man
Personaly If I had to choose I would pick the blue Chapman behind you... The looks are a killer for me...
Ooh that carved top on the armada looks awesome
Definitely

1:33: holly cow, this thing is beautiful !
The setup of the pic-ups is incredible !
so we have this friend who has innumerable guitars and owns a guitar company, better send him a couple of guitars :P
Yeah I don't get this either. You can give me a free guitar. No wait never mind don't. I don't know what it is but I don't like any guitars Music Man makes. They all look ugly to me.
Well Mr Anderton actually owners Chapman guitars....

@@ksroome Lee and Rob each own half of the company.
Bitter.
wow thats one sweet guitar mr chapman ....thanks for showing some amazing craftsmanship from the EBMM family
I like the shape of the first one. Its a good amalgamation of 2 different guitars.
love your content. sick slide skills.
The ARMADA is WONDERFUL!!
Congrats!
I just stared at that beautiful finish and wood grain the entire time.
That Axis is SO gorgeous!! Damn near losing my mind over the colot/rosewood neck too!
I was getting into that SLIDE groove😎🙈🙉🙊
gtiman67 Right? I didn't want that part of the video to end!
Both turned out very sick! Love the overall vibe.
my goodness that axis sounds MENTAL!
Love the Super Sport what a beautiful color and the grain of the wood unbelievable.
Rob you devil. Goddamn both of these are unbelievable
Gorgeous guitars man! 😊 both stunners! Love the tone. Have an awesome day Rob! 😊🙏🤟
I've been looking forward to seeing these axes, and they certainly don't disappoint! Also, glad to see you're still keeping the blue Chapman warm for me Rob :)
Oh Rob......
That slide and blues playing was sweet. Your shreds are awesome. But that was a nice side of you to hear. A lot more earthy. 👍
That diamond-less Armada is how they should be doing them - or at least as an option. Only thing that could've made it better was a satin finish.
Same here. Armada look much better without the diamond!
+1
Two awesome guitars. Lucky you Rob ! Of course they are well deserved.
28 guitars in my collection and ...my MM Axis still ranking high after 18 years or so ... these are very special guitars and one can feel it right from the first touch ...congratulations ... very nice pieces of gear.
FINALLY, was waiting for this since the music man video...
Nicely done Rob, congratulations on being the Chappers. Wish you success in all future endeavors, Jeff in LA USA
Amazing necks on their guitars! Nothing else quite like them.
The original Armada is nice...but that carved top is REALLY nice!
The Armadas are, in my book, the most beautiful AND coolest guitars built.
Those are stunning! Congrats Rob!
Chappers, how about a copper top for an ML2, etched and embossed like the Snake-oil pedals? That would look so good, especially with a little bit of ammonia & salt induced verdigris!
I have a Music Man Valentine, and it's such a brilliant guitar. The neck is probably the best you will find on any guitar.

Lovely Axis. Now you know why EVH loved them before the Peavey and Fender days. They really hit it out of the park with that guitar!
What a beast that armada is, love the finish.
Love the slide work Rob!
Those both look and sound great; I love the tops on those. Also, that Bassbreaker sounds amazing as well.
Wow !!fantastic armada
That slide bit was beautiful, man!
ive been waiting for this since the documentary came out
Now THAT is how an Armada is supposed to look! I want one!

Those guitars look awesome Rob and they sound great
Wow the second guitar sounds sick!
That Armada was so amazing, at first I had trouble realizing it was an Armada
Congrats Rob!!! Love Music Man. I have 3 of them myself.
Chappers, why is this the first we get to hear you play with slide for any length of time? Love it!!! But I also love slide!!!
YES, I have been waiting for those!!!

Congrats Rob, they are insanely gorgeous!!! 🤘🏻
My giddy aunt, that Armada though. Great looking, tone, and riff.
Not only do I like Armada better, I liked Rob's blues style of playing too. Jimmy Bob Chapman
Wow. How cool is that! 2 custom MusicMan guitars built to your own spec for free. Must be nice to live in your world. Lol. I been playing the same old Mexican Strat for the past 4 years without an amp. Lol.
That’s a sweet custom Armada!
That thing looks and sounds great.
3:03 man that sounds amazing. I hope this is a full song, please.
New guitar days = Best days! Congrats on the new axes 😉
Gotta love the Chappers and his words of wonerous wisdom...
I sir am 46, and can now see your old man genes are kicking in. TWO BROWN guitars.
Is your first custom music man guitar an exclusive or can we buy it somewhere ? (its because it looks really cool)
They're custom builds, spec'd by Chappers while he visited the factory, so you'd probably have to custom order it
Yeah you could custom order it?!
@@RobChappers can they build a guitar with a 20 inch wide flat fretboard and thin compound radius neck?
That's one sexy tone coming off that single cut Armada.
Slide and the first bit sounded familiar 😂😂 very tasty guitars Rob your so lucky 👍 I'm still longing for a Ghost Fret
Beautiful pair of guitars. I have a bunch of EBMM guitars including an Axis SS. The neck does feel a little different flipping from one guitar to the another as i believe it is an asymmetrical cross section. Your's is mint!
Absolutely awesome looking and sounding guitars. Chuffed for you :)
That Fender amp sounds incredible
Very Awesome. Great Axes brother!

Those guitars look amazing man
Glad you bought the Bassbreaker 30
They both look stunning! How do they bind the neck and headstock? I know they pour it in for the body, do they use the same process for the neck and headstock?
That Armada is sick, man!
Great choices of wood! Beautiful great sounding guitars.
Body style of the first one is Sick!!!!! Cheers from Texas 🍻
Loved The MM Amarda first time round !! Your right about losing the V !! Couldn’t afford it then .. be outa sight now !!
Thanks!!

EBMM always my favorite guitar company. Simply the best. Congratz Rob!!
Wow 2 sweet fiddles. The first one ( shape) reminds me of a fernandes ravelle
Killer tones man!!!
Maybe this video will help save the Armada from extinction. Such an awesome instrument, I love mine.
Thanks rob I’m gonna play guitar now!

Cover for one of these nights by the eagles
Rob, did you get stainless steel frets on those?
Curious to know if he did also. Nickel frets are teh suck.
