    The original speakers sounded great, but I had issues with them. Bought two, took one back for an exchange, and the new one was also messed up. Red light would flicker, and sound was slightly distorted. Also was supposed to get my free speaker bag when I registered them and never got it. If IK Multimedia is watching... I was disappointed. However, this channel NEVER disappoints!

      Especially while you set LF to 40hz,beyond a mark of volume,the port noise sound like laser cannon in a Sci-Fi movie.However,this issue still existing in MK2,because they have not improve the cabinet design,this issue obviously is a air flow issue,although upgrade the internal parts(DSP,drivers...),port noise still remains.

      I have the same issues with my iLoud's ..they distort on some deep sub notes and frequently clip into the red light.

      They've updated the port design, making it bigger with more air flow, so maybe it's been fixed or at least improved.

    I was going crazy trying to get a good acoustic piano sound from my Yamaha keyboard through speakers. Tried a bunch, up to and including a Motion Sound Amp, QSC speakers, studio monitors, you name it. Then I remembered I had a set of the original ILoud's that I got really just for music in my RV. Hooked them up to my keyboard and wow, finally, a great balanced AP sound (ask any keyboardist, it is the hardest to nail). Now I see these. Yikes, my wallet! GAS ignited. Thanks for the review.

    Great review, thanks🙌🏻
    For the mix & master of bass house songs, which of these or the Focal Alpha twin do you recommend I buy as the main monitor?🤔

    When I saw this news today, I thought I’d buy one as I build out a surround system. Since your original video about the MK1 speakers, they’ve been on my radar.
    I’ve already got non-IK Multimedia speakers for a quad setup, but figured an iLoud MTM MK2 would be interesting for a center speaker and move things to 5.0, while also getting me into the iLoud ecosystem. In the end, I decided to go for a now-discounted MK1.
    Then I started reading reviews of people experiencing unexpected shrieking sounds in the MK1 speaker. Certainly not the majority of reviews by any stretch, but it was enough to spook me and cancel the order and get another brand speaker. It’s very possible that if these were valid problems, even for just a few people, they’ve been fixed in the MK2.
    Just on their size alone, these seem great and I really want to love them as I build to a full Atmos system, but I think I’ll sit back for a while and watch for more reviews.

    do you need to be running X-monitor all the time so you get the correction on the speakers or do these store the correction filters so you can use them without a computer?

    • @danielkisel5661
      @danielkisel5661 6 місяців тому +1

      They store the calibration inside you have the button at the back where you can A/B flat vs calibrated sound

    how would you pair these with a sub is there no output option ?

    • @omeee
      @omeee 4 місяці тому

      Monitors do not have subwoofer output obviously... usually you plug the monitors into the subwoofer. Subwoofers for home theater and studio are different.

    I kinda wanna get the mk2 but I feel like if you're not a UA-cam, you won't get the MK3 for free. Ive never seen a manufacturer updating a speaker model that fast, and especially with those heavily kind of dip monitors, you're always gonna feel bad if you bought them at the right time.

      Jbl lsr series still own lsr305 and lsr305 mkii went out pretty quickly as well to address certain issues with mki, and honestly build on their previous success it's not uncommon...

    I never understood the hype around them, they are way too expensive for what they are. The micros are great for the price but this? Neumann KH80 completely destroy them in everything and they cost less. 980 vs 940 Euro in europe including tax. There are also the Genelec 8020 which are imo slightly worse than the Neumann but much better than the MTM.
    I had MK1 here 1 year ago and tested all 3 at the same time. I would also argue that Kali Audio in-5 which are slightly bigger than the other are better and they are a lot cheaper.
    I have never heard anyone praising the MTM, only "professional" reviewers.

      Not sure where you live but Neumann are about 400 more than the MTM. 1200 vs 800

      it is always the artist. Logic is just fine. never seen an actual artist complain about what they had to work with, they just work. There are options if you think you need them. Find a DAW you like and go make crappy music again.
