3:17:15 is PEAK DSP. There is nothing I've ever seen that more strongly highlights how fucking codependent this man is than this clip right here. He gets cornered and dies because he needs to melee attack a fragile rope and is holding a catalyst, a casting weapon. After he dies, someone in his chat informs him "you can melee attack with R2", which he immediately confirms and responds "I didn't even know that, thank you for telling me!". There's just one problem with him saying that though... He has been using a catalyst for the ENTIRE GAME. 98 death worth of playtime! Not once did he ever even _think_ to press the R2 button, because he's so fucking handheld by his chat that he will literally ignore one of only TWO buttons that trigger attacks with the equipped weapon. For all he knew, for the entire game the R2 button could've casted a stronger version of the spell he had equipped. It could've been the most OP shit in the entire game, but not once did he try it, because not once did his chat tell him to do it. Unbelievable. I'm actually blown away. Imagine not pressing a button on your controller once in your entire playthrough to test what it does.
The amount of times he could've dodged things with ample time also showcases this. For almost half his streams he forgot he could even roll at all. It's only when people told him to dodge that he started doing it against certain enemies, and then continued acting as if the option didn't exist until another enemy got him stuck and chat told him. Imagine playing DARK FUCKING SOULS without DODGING. Just... what the fuck.
I started playing Dark Souls for about a month now and I always knew Phil sucks at video games but this shit is embarrassing especially considering the fact he played this game before. Dude is just a complete backseat gamer who clearly shows no passion for gaming yet gets paid playing them.

My 11 year old little brother played dark souls for the first time ever 4 days ago and he got through the asylum within 5 minutes and taking damage twice. Phil is just an embarrassment through any games he plays.

Honestly tho, if you wanna go INT or Faith route in DS3 its arguable better to either start as an Knight or Pyromancer. The obivious Cleric and Sorcerer have some points in luck invested, and this is a dead stat if you dont want to use proc weapon effects. Ofc i doubt Phil thought about this tho lel
Depends on what kind of magic. The game has three different types of magic. The sorcerer is best for sorceries, the cleric is best for miracles, and the pyromancer is the best for pyromancies
It makes me so mad how he runs past every enemy when he first gets to a new area like phill beat the enemies and then when u die u can run past them since u will basically know the easiest way to avoid the enemy’s attack
@@memberofchat2825 I know it's the flame itself, but I have seen it commonly referred to as "the pyro glove" by a lot of people because the inventory icon kind of looks a little bit like a red glove, rather than a hand.
Because DSP has his head showed up Twitch Chats asshole. So he needs them to grab him by the tiddies for tips. If he plays dumb people will pay to give him directions. He's basically a Twitch Stripper with no nudity.
He can't play anything without having information spoon fed (ideally with tips) to him. He has less of an attention span and ability to learn than the common goldfish.
Not to mention he only used the most basic-ass versions of the spells. No Crystal spells, no Magic Weapon/Shield, not even the more mess-about stuff like Chameleon or Hush. Nope, just basic-ass Soul Arrow/Soul Spear spam and a sword for the entire playthrough.
@jasonsgroovemachine that's only in DS 2 and 3. In DS1 pyro is actually the class for dex melee builds because it doesn't scale with neither int nor faith. Murakumo Pyro is amazing in DS1 though, definitely recommend trying it.

@@Alice89chan Magic especially in the older titles is quite OP regardless of how much one knows the game really. Of course with optimal knowledge, gear sets and spells etc it can go as far as one-shotting most bosses in the game. However, from a very basic understanding, it's stronger than everything else because all of the spells home and are very difficult to miss, the spells themselves do a ridiculous amount of damage even before gear/rings come into the equation and the spells that do this much damage are attainable very early in the game. There's no shame in using Magic though, it is fun doing a lot of damage and it's an option the game presents to you, so why not make the most of it.

10:54 Phil gets stuck under the most basic bit of geometry, declares he must have glitched into an area he's not meant to be in, as enemies follow him with no issue. And doesn't even try to roll back onto the roof. Also this his third run of Dark Souls 1 and he's already asking for chat to hold his dick. He went from at least trying the first time until getting carried by the chat, doing a "Redemption run" with no help from chat (only to go back to relying on chat), and is just out the gate Twitch Plays DS1 Remastered. Like even ignoring that he's played every Souls game, a few Souls like from other companies, this is his third go around in this game and he remembers NOTHING. Not a single thing stuck, it's like it was a fucking First time Blind play through. Like every time he touches a DS game it always goes wrong, and it's worse every time because the slate it wiped clean.
Also, what on earth possessed phil to do a fucking sorcery run? Something that is so anathema to his facetank and R1 style. And he's trying to just rush past everything like why?
What is extra funny is how he moved the goal post of using his content. First in 2012 and 2013 it was that TIHYDP was stealing from him, illegal, misrepresented his content, and at one point almost got him killed when he got swatted. When restreamers took off back in 2018 and caught on in 2019, it became that restreams were highly illegal and awful and actively incited bad things to happen (even when the restreamers didnt encourage that) and overnight it was ok to make TIHYDPS because they are harmless and poking fun. A week or so ago he got mad at Memology101s video about DSPs comments about Cuties, and again moved the goalpost off restreamers and onto commentary creators like memology. He wants him to get banned like leafy and accused him of lying, all while falsely saying Memology has always lied about him due to a video about that Extinction game (which was actually made by Vault Boy). Restreams got demoted down to nothing more than "lampooning" and laughing at his expense. TL DR whatever DSP is mad about currently is the worst thing ever, instantly illegal in his mind and he hates it but when the next thing comes along he forgets it and casts it in a now positive light to make the new thing seem terrible.

4:34:30 You may notice how he's in the room with the 5 pinwheels right before Nito, which is quite far from the bonfire he gets sent back to. If you didn't know there are 2 bonfires in between where he dies and where he respawns but because they weren't placed right in front of him on his way to Nito it's bullshit and bad game design.

The only reason DSP was once popular on UA-cam because of John Rambo. The banter between them in co-op playthroughs was hilarious. I once in awhile watch the Assassin's Creed online sessions with them.
Was a fan from 2009-2012, left for a year or so, came back right before his big move to WA. Believed most of what he said about detractors, but during his week long hiatus moving across the country watched a couple of their videos to see how bad they really were. TL DR never went back, broke free from pignosis. Started making TIHYDPs in 2015 because the Golden Era ones were hilarious. The rest is history.

Honestly tho, if you wanna go INT or Faith route in DS3 its arguable better to either start as an Knight or Pyromancer. The obivious Cleric and Sorcerer have some points in luck invested, and this is a dead stat if you dont want to use proc weapon effects. Ofc i doubt Phil thought about this tho lel

Depends on what kind of magic. The game has three different types of magic. The sorcerer is best for sorceries, the cleric is best for miracles, and the pyromancer is the best for pyromancies

@jasonsgroovemachine that's only in DS 2 and 3. In DS1 pyro is actually the class for dex melee builds because it doesn't scale with neither int nor faith. Murakumo Pyro is amazing in DS1 though, definitely recommend trying it.

To be sorta fair, they broke spell tracking in the remaster and it hasn't been fixed. Pretty sure there is a mod to fix it though.

As a newcomer to this series, I assume magic build requires knowing a lot of the game to be efficient at it, so it's bad until you're a Souls veteran.
@@Alice89chan Magic especially in the older titles is quite OP regardless of how much one knows the game really. Of course with optimal knowledge, gear sets and spells etc it can go as far as one-shotting most bosses in the game.
However, from a very basic understanding, it's stronger than everything else because all of the spells home and are very difficult to miss, the spells themselves do a ridiculous amount of damage even before gear/rings come into the equation and the spells that do this much damage are attainable very early in the game.
There's no shame in using Magic though, it is fun doing a lot of damage and it's an option the game presents to you, so why not make the most of it.

10:54 Phil gets stuck under the most basic bit of geometry, declares he must have glitched into an area he's not meant to be in, as enemies follow him with no issue. And doesn't even try to roll back onto the roof.
Also this his third run of Dark Souls 1 and he's already asking for chat to hold his dick. He went from at least trying the first time until getting carried by the chat, doing a "Redemption run" with no help from chat (only to go back to relying on chat), and is just out the gate Twitch Plays DS1 Remastered.

What is extra funny is how he moved the goal post of using his content.
First in 2012 and 2013 it was that TIHYDP was stealing from him, illegal, misrepresented his content, and at one point almost got him killed when he got swatted.
When restreamers took off back in 2018 and caught on in 2019, it became that restreams were highly illegal and awful and actively incited bad things to happen (even when the restreamers didnt encourage that) and overnight it was ok to make TIHYDPS because they are harmless and poking fun.
A week or so ago he got mad at Memology101s video about DSPs comments about Cuties, and again moved the goalpost off restreamers and onto commentary creators like memology. He wants him to get banned like leafy and accused him of lying, all while falsely saying Memology has always lied about him due to a video about that Extinction game (which was actually made by Vault Boy). Restreams got demoted down to nothing more than "lampooning" and laughing at his expense.
TL DR whatever DSP is mad about currently is the worst thing ever, instantly illegal in his mind and he hates it but when the next thing comes along he forgets it and casts it in a now positive light to make the new thing seem terrible.

About five minutes after starting "Dood how do you use the spells?". After playing all Souls games he must be trolling at this point.
First edit: 2:30:13 So now he's saying that the Black Knight Halberd is overpowered and that affected the run, but if you mentioned back when he was playing, you would be yeeted out of the stream chat. Same thing with the summons on his second run and same thing with Dick Lightning in DS2 and the easy mode patch in DS3. That's some nice pignosis. Also, it's not about remembering every detail, but if you played these types of game this much, you should already have some muscle memory and not suck so bad like Dave does, but whatever... he'll always create excuses.

Hey 0utsyder! I'm curious about your history with DSP, it seems everyone has their own cringe story about how they found him lol. Care to tell?
The only reason DSP was once popular on UA-cam because of John Rambo. The banter between them in co-op playthroughs was hilarious. I once in awhile watch the Assassin's Creed online sessions with them.
Was a fan from 2009-2012, left for a year or so, came back right before his big move to WA. Believed most of what he said about detractors, but during his week long hiatus moving across the country watched a couple of their videos to see how bad they really were. TL DR never went back, broke free from pignosis. Started making TIHYDPs in 2015 because the Golden Era ones were hilarious. The rest is history.
Now I'm really thankful to Panda that she made him move, otherwise we might have lost out on a lot of great TIHYDP.
Instead of redeeming himself, he brought ultimate shame on himself by giving full control over to chat.
