    In order for DARK hair to go red from brown, the box dye blasts the cuticle to lighten and deposit, but when you remove it, yes the underlying red/orange pigment will be there. You have to re-deposit a color that is in the same level in the not an Or red shade you want. Just please never lie about what's in your hair, and tell your colorist what brand you used if you need a correction. It's not to shame you. It's to keep from melting your hair off. Some box dyes have metallic salts in them and I have NO idea what kind of reaction it could have witj this product. If heat or bubbling starts, rinse it off immediately! Just my best advice.     Thank you so much. I just used this and it worked, I may have to do another round because I still have some red in the mid section of my hair. The smell is awful but I. Just glad my hair is not damaged so thank you thank you!,, God bless you

      The smell it’s horrible, but trust me it goes away. After several washes.

    Had chemo 5 years ago, so I'm really hoping for no adverse effects when I use this. I have really long hair, so if something does go a wry. I think it will only be the very bottom. Thanks for the heads up on the smell. How many washes before your natural color returned?

    Do you put in yours roots. I’m scared I’m gonna go orange. My natural hair colour is brown and I dyed it red during first lockdown then a few weeks ago I dye it brown it was brown but now gone redish brown.

    My hair is a level 5 medium auburn/burgundy rn and my natural hair is a level 6G light golden brown. It shouldn't be too hard and I've been doing my hair for years. I'm gonna try that colorfix stuf!

    So I have red hair too and I am trying this. On the box it said ensure hair is clean...is that step needed. Or can it be used on dirty hair?

      It don’t matter much, I’ve done this twice and did it on 2nd or 3rd day hair. My hair seemed clean to me. 😘 meaning I didn’t have lots of hairspray or gel. Try it out, you’ll be happy with the results

    I put manic panic wildfire red in my 5 year olds blonde hair. It's been MONTHS and it won't come out. I'm so disappointed because the purple and blue faded out completely.

    I bleached my hair and dyed it red. It’s super patchy but I’m scared to remove and try to fix it. I have curly hair and it’s damaged but the curls are still there

      I’m afraid to give you bad advice, i can’t see your hair to tell you. At this point you might need a hair stylist., you can always ask for advice for free. Hopefully you can find a good hairstylist who is willing to help you.
      My hair got so damaged after attempting to go pink, I’m just afraid to give bad advice

    If my natural roots are grown out should I put them on those too or just my colored part

      I applied where I wanted the hair dye to be removed, if I did get some on my hair growth I was not too concerned about it. I wouldn’t be too worried, if you get some on your natural roots. It shouldn’t make a difference. Good luck

    I was surprised that i have to rinse only and then do step 3 which i did completely wrong. After I read the instructions very well ,I mixed 1&2 and left for almost 30 minutes shampooed my hair and put step 3 on my wet hair left it for about 5 minutes and rinse it and conditioner it still got a good results and I am thinking to do it one more time but this time i will do it your way

      Hi , the colorfix worked nicely on any permanent colors i had , altho the stubborn direct color is still present , so i may try a different type of remover for direct color , my hair is so very porous, this may be a longer journey than i'd expected. Thanks you !!! XO

    what hair dye did you use for your red hair? i used hicolor from l’oréal and i’m wondering if it will remove it with this product?

      @@ashleyr8518 well I tried it last night lol. My hair is like a brownish redish lol i really dont want to use color fix again so ima just slap some brown hair dye today and call it a day 😂
      I left some coconut oil over night and my hair doesn’t feel that damaged but we’ll see once I dye it

      @@AcidCristals hi! so after using colorfix remover to remove the red, what dye did u use to dye it brown? did u use the l’oréal hicolor one? im planning on using that but it’s for “dark hair” so im worried it will mess up my hair if like i use it after i used the color remover bc my hair will be lighter after using the remover. hopefully that made sense lol! i’m just trynna figure this out

    I have Burgundy hair! And I tried the COLOR FIX BOX FROM SALLYS that did not work ! I also added bleach and nothing!

    I dyed my hair red and it’s changing/fading every day.😡😩. I don’t want to keep dying it red because I want to keep my hair healthy! And I’m finding my hands red even after 4 months when I’m styling it. I’m an African American with natural hair so that could be another issue.

    I had red hair like in 2016 and I still have the red tint 😒 I dyed it black but that red tint it’s still there.... I have naturally dark hair and I want to remove the red tint from my hair 😖 You can only see it in sunlight and it’s annoying.... Green shampoo didn’t help much

      Any blue manic panic will change that...leave it in 30 minutes or do a strand test..do not mix it with conditioner just any blue manic panic...or blue hair dye for permanent results

    If you like to do red I have been doing hair for 25 years it's so hair to remove red from your hair! I love red hair but unfortunately my kids and husband said it wasn't me! But swartscoft color is the best color to use and you should only color your hair every 6 weeks and take biotin daily..do deep conditioning treatments every week nomatter what!

    I used this to get rid of my red hair. The same night while the hair was still kinda wet I mixed 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with the mother. And a cup of water. It gets rid of the smell really fast! Pour it unto your scalp and hair and then put a bag over it for about 7 minutes then rinse it out. Trust me, the smell will disappear ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

      I went today and I bought for myself the color fix box and I want to say thank you very much because I got that black out of my hair my hair is could be coming gray and I love the gray but my daughter said Mom go a little bit darker so I bought a dark gray and it was black gray I was so depressed with it but I came across your UA-cam channel and I did exactly what you said and it came out wonderful thank you so very much for the info God bless you take care of your beautiful.

      It goes away after a few days, I would you garnier leave in conditioner. Helps my hair smell better

      I used it twice in a weeks length, it might depend if your hair will resist. If it’s not too damaged.

      @@abenaap2626 I asked at the beauty supply store and they recommended satin color reverse. They said it’s not going to severally damage ur hair and it’s much better than the other products. I’m going to try it tonight. Also she said if you dye your hair other colors than it’s going to be patchy so you need to put a dark hair color over so it looks even
