Judicious use of tariffs can help protect American jobs and markets. Trump's stated goal is across-the-board tariffs on all imports to the tune of 10 or 20%, depending on what day you hear him. Economists estimate that his plan will cost the average household up to $3900 per year ... because the cost of tariffs ultimately gets passed on to the consumer.

@@TeddyMonka Trump reached an agreement with China in 2020 that reduced the rate of some tariffs and required China to import $200 billion more of US products than it did before Trump's trade war began.
China has not met its obligations under Trump's deal, even though Trump lowered their tariffs, so Biden hasn't removed the tariffs.
Primarily the ones on China. Trump wants blanket tariffs on all allies etc ... Solely to benefit the wealthiest as the majority of middle and low income shoulder the burden with increased prices. Meanwhile only creating less stability in world with traditional allies for the likes of Putin et al.
