Another Goose Stealing Fox - Howa 1500 .223

  • Once again I was contacted by my friend about another problem fox. Just a few days after the last fox was killed by ourselves, another goose had been taken. After setting up a trail cam we had an idea of the time and location that this creature of habit appears to arrive.
Again, my .223 makes another appearance. A rifle I am increasingly enjoying each time out.

The fox ran till he came to a great big pen,
The Ducks and Geese where kept there in,
He said "a couple of you are gonna grease my chin before I leave this town"
Unfortunately for ol' Raynard his future wasn't going to include a greasy goose, it was in fact going to be much shorter than he ima........... 💥💀
    Good clean shot dude 👍

Nicely done. I'm a pest controller in Australia. I'm not sure what do more damage here, foxes or feral cats. WE are currently in the midst of a mouse plague, it's bloody horrible stuff. Cheers, Frazer.

You have removed two foxes, this will create a vacuum and other foxes will move into the area as it has a good food supply, ie, geese. Two dog foxes...where is the vixen? Keep your powder dry as I suspect that you will be returning there in the not to distant future. Have fun and stay safe. Oh, and your mate giving you the "bird"...he was, I presume, referring to the geese which needed your services. 😉🦊🦆

To be honest I’m not really a fox shooter, I’m certainly a beginner when it comes to fox. I have no callers etc for them. We was hoping it would be a vixen this time, but still no, but thanks for the useful information. Learning curve for me at the same time.
And yeah I’m sure my friend flipping the bird was definitely not aimed at myself 🙄

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the commentary. I’m new to fox shooting so I’m certainly a beginner, but I enjoy the “stake-out” waiting. Will probably get an electronic caller in the future if there is going to be regular fox shooting.

You're right, however this shows the desperation to go in between a flock of geese to get some food. They're vicious things are geese. My friend was just as surprised as you.

I love that area also. I’ve had to install a new feeder as they chewed through my old one. Will hopefully be there in a couple of months as I’ve got the numbers down quite a lot but breeding season has been happening so they might be a few to get when they start to leave the nest.

I was very tempted and my finger was hovering near the trigger, however it was coming straight towards us and after looking at all the trail cam footage it almost always comes right down to where we expected it to come to. It’s the fox’s usual route to where the chickens and geese are.

Good stuff, i watched one of your other vids when at night you had a laserworks range finder connected to the pard how does it sit on the rifle? Ive got the biathlon lever for my S510 which i found about watching your channel im going to do a little custom job on the lever I'll send you the link, but cant start as waiting on parts and the 510 at Ratworks getting tuned. I have a mouse sqeaker i got out in the US for coyote ive called in loads of foxes with it over here in the UK works well never shot any as ive never applied for fac.

Yes I do, you can see it in the thumbnail image. It is a Solaris SRX.
Funnily after I take the shot you can see that I didn’t clamp it down tight enough and it shifts its position.

    • @lancsvermincontrol
      @lancsvermincontrol  3 роки тому +2

Yeah definitely. We don't know if that was the one we shot or if that one was a different one, but we'll probably be back up there again at some point if the land owner has another problem.

    • @leegorman8322
