❗Important question ❗️ Hey I created a few designs on printify and ordered some samples... The costs were a lot higher than expected through shipping costs were added. What happens when a customer orders through Etsy? Are the costs for shipping to the customer directly included? (So they can see the shipping costs?)
Love the video❤️ I just started my print-on-demand journey and found Crafted Threads. They have a ton of designs and it saved me so much time. They have something in every niche. And lifetime updates too!!
I am only 8 minutes in but, I really want to express my gratitude to you for making such a comprehensive video that actually holds a person's attention. This video is absolutely awesome.
Thank you so much Christina. I have been seeing so many tutorials that include etsy + printify but not one that goes in depth with just the production partner (printify). Sweet wishes and hope you a great journey on youtube ❤
Oh my goodness, thank you! I have a digital shop on Etsy but decided to switch and put my designs on POD so I'm new to this. I could not figure out (or find) how to edit and re-sync a listing after sending it to Etsy. Because, of course, one I think everything is just right and I pay for the listing .. it ain't! Didn't know whether to edit in Printify, Etsy, both ... talk about driving me crazy (and not having far to go! 😁). Do you have a dedicated video on this? If not it might be a really good one to do I've searched for a few days and it might be really beneficial to us newbies. Thank goodness I found this one .. thanks again!
Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!
Hi Christina - this is a great video. I am starting (Canadian seller as well). What do you do when you get a Canadian order (if you have chosen a US print provider when making listing). Does Printify send emails when you get an order, so you can go in and check within the 24 hr window to see if you had any Canadian buyers? Can you change the Print Provider just for Canadian buyers when you initially make the listing - indicate somehow that Canadian orders get filled by Canadian provider, and US by US, or does this have to be done after the fact and how? Hope I expressed that properly. Another question (sorry!) - are Canadian sellers using Printify charged for the items ordered in US$ (whether the item comes from US or Can)? and are Etsy's fees for Canadian sellers in US$ also? Thanks for your hard work❤
Christina! Thank you for a great walk-through content! You're inspiring many people out there (including myself) to start an online POD. I did have a question though- When you receive an order and it shows up on your Etsy "Orders & Shipping" Tab do I have to print my own shipping labels? I am assuming no because Printify does all the handing for you.. but does it take care of its self? I'd love to get a walk through on what to do when you first get your order from Etsy and what steps you need to do before & after you receive it.
Can I ask your opinion about setting up your design on the t-shirt? Should I always put the top of my graphic at the top dotted line? Are the previews pretty accurate as to what the placement will be on the shirt?
Hello Christina. the tutorial was great and useful. I have a question about categorizing the product I've recently created on Printify for my personal website. Could you provide guidance on how to specify the category for the new product that Printify should publish in? Do I need to manage this categorization manually on my website? or there is a solution in Printify? (When I create a new product, Printify automatically selects or generates a category that doesn't align with my preferred category combination.)
HI this was great. I am trying to integrate Printify to Amazon and having issues understanind it. I have opened Office Desk but still can't do it! A video on this would be so helpful :-)
Thank you for this video Christina. I am an Etsy seller and also Canadian. Im new and have only sold a dozen t shirts so far. I've only had one Canadian buyer, all the rest US. My print provider is Duplium, should I be using a US print provider to make it cheaper for me since shipping to the US is expensive. Also do you have a video on upscaling for sizes XL and 2XL? I can't figure out how to do this on Printify.
Hey! How do I add a design to the sleeve of my sweatshirt? I just want a small phrase on the cuff of the sleeve! Would be great if you could make a tutorial on this! TY
Hi Christiana ,thank yoiu for a great detailed video. i intend to start here from nigeria, please have you worked or know about any print provider from Nigeria? Thanks as i wait for your response .
Great video So I have a quick question so I made product on printify and have the printify store setup and when I click to see the product in store it says it only will be delivered to USA only instead of worldwide delivery. Do you know how to fix that?
I have a question, when filling out our info for our store it asks for our address for the invoice. I’m not comfortable using my phone # & home address, have you had any issues with that?
All I really need to know is how to crop an image in Printify. I'm not dealing with T shirts. I'm messing with posters and canvas So the image has to fit Inside a certain area. I can't make it fit inside that area without cropping it
Hey. New Sub here from South Africa. Thank you very much for the videos. Ive started my Etsy POD shop however I don't want to make deliveries to certain countries. How do I fix that?
Hi, thank you so much for this tutorial I am subscribing so I can get more info from your videos! I was wondering when you are making products on Printify, do you know if you need to flip the designs horizontally ever so that they come out facing the right way when they are adhered to the shirts, or does the printshop usually figure this out for you? Thanks again!
I don't flip them and printify prints them according to how I set the design. You can always check the previews to see how your design could look like printed. :)
Thank you for this tutorial, it helped answer several question I had about using and setting up Printify. You covered area that a lot of other tutorials did not. Question, what is your favorite sweatshirt? I ordered a sample one with a print to see if I liked it. I was so disappointed in the product and print quality. It was not soft, rather scratchy and the print was poor. The product was the Gilden 18000 and POD company was Monster Digital. The design is vibrant on printify and high resolution but it was faded on the product and the words were slightly blurred. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Loved your tutorial and looking forward to checking out other ones you have done.
The Gildan 18000 from swiftpod is always my go to and I’ve had wonderful reviews for it! Send a picture to printify to see if that’s normal quality. I own many Gildan 18000s and they’re super soft!
so i dont have to drive my own traffic :) Etsy drives all of my traffic, otherwise with your website youll need to spend money or time bringing people to your site
Hello Christina and thank you for your time and advices. I have two questions! I am thinking of starting a pod business on Etsy and i was wondering A) if a customer wants a pod for gift, what do i do? Can i contact with printify to wrap it up like a gift? B) can i contact printify to give them like a thank you card( of course i will pay for it) but i just don't want this card expenses to add at my customers account but in my account. Can they do it for me? Thank you so much, god bless you and keep up your amazing work🎉😊😊
Unfortunately, with the amount of products print providers ship, I think requesting a gift packaging wouldn't be possible. However, printify is testing a new feature similar to this. One of their partner print shop, "Dimona tee", just introduced customizable packaging inserts that could go with your item. I haven't tried it yet, but I think it would be perfect for items that are requested to be sent as a gift. Hope this helps! 😊
Hello, Christina. I was wondering if you can set up Printify (or Etsy/Shopify/etc.) to NOT accept refunds/exchanges. Basically, set it up so all sales are final. I'll anxiously await your reply. Thanks. Regards, Todd
Hi there. This video is very helpful. I set up my Etsy store and made a bunch of products using my digital photography. After creating several things including a desk calendar, I realized that the print company is overseas in Australia so shipping cost way more than the product even cost. How do I change my shipping costs for these places overseas? It’s not even worth me making the product because I don’t think anybody’s going to pay $30 in shipping for a $17 product. The desk calendar in particular has no other print providers. I noticed all calendars on print defy are shipped from overseas. I read something that said you can opt to choose flat rate but where do I do that in the program? I can’t seem to figure it out even when I Google it lol. Thanks so much
these prices are set by the company, not all POD products will be worth it and sounds like this may be one unless Australia is your market or if you can find an alternate supplier. I have had to pass on certain products because of issues like this
Amazing videos Christina! I noticed you had a different ship from address depending on the territory (US, UK, DE) which got me thinking about how to deal with different markets. Do you use different suppliers for each of those countries, do you adapt the shipping cost (which I know you include in the product price anyway), and are there any other considerations to make when thinking about multiple territories. Do you already have a video on this, or is there a resource that you found helpful? Thanks for making such motivating and informative content - I feel so ready to take this on right now!
I offer free shipping for US orders, and the include the shipping fee on the product price. For UK orders, I set a fixed shipping fee of 15CAD. I only use Swiftpod and sometimes Duplium when Swiftpod is out of stock. This is mainly because I love their print quality. I only use other printers if the customer wants the product as soon as possible. I tell them that I know a print shop from their country and send their order details to them so that the shipping takes less time. Make sure that you include in your description that international orders may take 3 weeks or more to arrive and that etsy collects tax so buyers don't have to pay for additional tax fees or duty fees. Hope this helps! :)
This was perfect timing! I just made my 1st sale on Etsy tonight! Seeing how the orders work helped a lot. Question...does Etsy always send you the info telling you to order a shipping label and to contact the customer when it's been mailed? Doesn't Etsy know it's through Printify and not me?
Etsy doesn’t technically know it as they’re a plug-in so you’ll always get that message but printify will do that all for you so you don’t need to worry about. Congrats on your first sale!
Hi Christina! I am so happy I found you. New sub here. Also love that you are a fellow Canadian. I don’t have an Etsy store yet but have been pondering about doing POD. My question is you said you use a print provider in the states because most of your orders are from there so if we are just starting out and do not know where most of our orders are coming from, would it make sense to just manually put in each order to Printify? I know that would be so much more work but would it not make things better if your just starting out? Thank you for your videos. 🙂
It would be hard if your aiming to do this in the long run. Since you'll have to input all the SKU's at some point. You could just put the orders on hold for 24hrs and then manually edit an order if you want to change print provider. This way you won't be spending too much time on putting in each order.
Hey girl! Thanks for the video! 😊I currently offer free shipping on all of my items and I have one duplicate item for testing the main listing photos. If I wanted to do A B testing for a listing WITH shipping, would I need to go back to my products and create a new shipping profile through printify, then select that shipping profile for all the items I want to test? If not, what’s a good way to add shipping to a half of my listings so I can do A B testing to see whether free shipping or with shipping does better for my niche? Just trying to figure out these basics! I appreciate any help! Thanks girl!
Hello! I Love your videos. Thank you. I’m new at this. I’m interested in getting started by your inspiration. Could I buy designs off of Etsy to use? Thank you
Yes you can! There are lots of designs for sale on Etsy, that are available for POD commercial use. Just be sure to check their terms and do research before purchasing.
It really depends on what you and the buyer agreed on. Usually, you can either refund the order since it was returned or send a replacement if they ask for an exchange, but you’d have to cover the cost. Either way, you might lose money when a product is returned, so make sure it’s clear in your policies that you don’t accept returns or exchanges unless there’s a quality issue, which Printify should take care of.
Each color of the merch requires me to go through every size and change the price. Can I have it all sync for each size? For example I want every Large for every color to be 30 dollars without having to do it on my own. If you can help, thanks! I hate having to go through every color individually to change the price on every size.
Sorry, but I'm confused about the SKU issue, when it doesn't show up correctly. Where am I looking to see correct SKU and where to I have to re-input it to make sure it will read correctly. I'm TOTALLY CONFUSED about this whole SKU thing. Do you have a video that explains it differently or can you briefly give me explanation. Thanks.
Have you ever ran across an issue with printify where you send in a design as a certain size say 10 inches and it comes back smaller 8.44 and they say that’s the size that they received?
Hello, I am confused on how to add the mugs I have designed to mock up's that I purchased from Etsy. Some of my mugs are on a white background and need some color.
Hey girl! I had a question about the print suppliers. For example, I chose a mousepad from the EU because it was the highest-rated quality product on Prinitfy. That means it would be shipping from the EU and US customers would be less likely to buy this product because it would have to go through customs? Hope this makes sense haha
I wouldn't recommend international suppliers if your target market is in the US. Aside from the fact that it will have to go through customs, shipping may take a long time (2 weeks to a month), and you'd have to set higher shipping fees. US customers would be less likely to buy your products because of these.
Could you explain the breakdown for the pricing especially when it pertains to shipping costs. When I looked at it the shipping costs were going to be almost the same price as a tshirt, that can’t be right.
There's been a lot of changes with shipping costs recently. For standard shipping, it costs around 5USD, and then a shirt on average costs around 10-17USD to print. That brings you to at least 15USD to print and ship a shirt. If for example you offer a shirt on Etsy for 22USD, and then set a fixed shipping fee for 5USD, you'll get at least 27USD for each shirt. Of course you'll have to up the shipping fee for orders outside of US. Experiment on your pricing to see which will work best for you without sacrificing your profit margin.
I'm having a hard time designing a candle label. I'm using Canva, and my trouble is lining my bleed line and where my text is going. The file size is 900 x 600 and 900 x 750. Can you please help me with this?
Christina! how to watch your video to set up POD with printify + etsy + paypal and i'm so confused i watched over 20+ videos and did all the things but still i'm confused !! my confusion that how the order place and ship ? means at starting do i need to have any such funds or money to run !! my theory : that customer will pay and I get an immediate money to my paypal then, me give the money to printify and they make the product and ship to the home . 2nd theory : customer they order , then i have to pay printify with my own money then that will be sold to the customer and after deliver; the etsy will give me the money . which one is correct ? and if both are wrong then kindly explain me please .how it works ? I sawed many video still confused so please reply me !! Thank you :)

If not, what’s a good way to add shipping to a half of my listings so I can do A B testing to see whether free shipping or with shipping does better for my niche? Just trying to figure out these basics! I appreciate any help! Thanks girl!
How do you determine what your profit is? Can you explain the pricing from the merchants and shipping cost
I usually go for a 30% profit margin.
If a person returns his order and it comes to our address than we have to pay for that or not ?
It really depends on what you and the buyer agreed on. Usually, you can either refund the order since it was returned or send a replacement if they ask for an exchange, but you’d have to cover the cost. Either way, you might lose money when a product is returned, so make sure it’s clear in your policies that you don’t accept returns or exchanges unless there’s a quality issue, which Printify should take care of.
Hello. I'm having issues lining up my picture portrait. When I attempt to adjust the image it gets cut off all around the edges. Please help. Thanks
could you share with us one of your stores? please =) so we can see an example of a successful store. please!
Some of my mugs are on a white background and need some color.
hi christina, do i need to add my banking details on printify aswell? or is it not necessary.
US customers would be less likely to buy your products because of these.
im having items showing All items already reserved! when they are in my store and adding to cart, any idea what would be wrong
hello , i dont know how to move products in different spots or move them in order i want in printify store page thanks
I am in the UK , already have e-commerce website in WordPress. Is it possible to connect to Printify and how would it work with shipping and printing?
hey christina, i was wondering if u have to deal with taxes or anything like that?
Thank you

Christina! how to watch your video to set up POD with printify + etsy + paypal and i'm so confused i watched over 20+ videos and did all the things but still i'm confused !! my confusion that how the order place and ship ? means at starting do i need to have any such funds or money to run !!
my theory : that customer will pay and I get an immediate money to my paypal then, me give the money to printify and they make the product and ship to the home .
2nd theory : customer they order , then i have to pay printify with my own money then that will be sold to the customer and after deliver; the etsy will give me the money .
which one is correct ? and if both are wrong then kindly explain me please .how it works ?
I sawed many video still confused so please reply me !!
