Here is a little description of their course:
This is “THE BEGINNING” where every aspiring precision rifleman should begin their journey. This training evolution is split 60/40 between live fire on the range and knowledge development in the classroom. The day will begin inside the classroom where students will learn the basics of Rifle safety & Operation followed by lessons on The Fundamentals of Marksmanship, Pre-Fire Checklist, Individual Rifle Fitment, Scope Operation & Usage, and the Optic Mounting Process.
Following a brief recess, students will transition to the Zero Range to apply recently acquired knowledge on rifle setup, scope mounting, and rifle zeroing with the assistance of the Instructor Staff.
This is a simple process whose value is often overlooked and under-appreciated. The staff takes great pride and gives extreme attention to ensure this process is completed properly before the class moves onto Fundamentals Drills. During the 1.1 evolution, students will practice and learn specific drills, some unique to Max Ordinate Academy, that will not only enhance new and experienced shooters precision capabilities but also show and expose where each shooter needs improvement or is lacking fundamental understanding.
Each student is assigned a touchscreen tablet acting as a digital Databook to record their scores and impacts. Following drills and target analysis, each shooter will use a course provided chronograph to measure their muzzle velocity before departing the zero range. To end the day, each student will learn basic programming of their ballistic calculator and conduct an End of Day debrief discussing knowledge learned, and areas that need improvement or further focus.
