Block Island and New London were my old stomping grounds.. My mothers first husband owned Champlins Marina in the old harbor.. Later on I was stationed in NL in the USCG.. And still later.. I worked on the ferry that ran from NL to BI thru FI sound. ..small world.. Wish I could make the meet & greet but Annapolis is way out of my striking range from eastern Maine. Stay safe.. JW
I wish I knew about the Fiberglass Running Electrical Wire Cable Pulling Fish Tape Kit last spring. I rewired my GPS & Radio from the starting battery to the house battery, and I have to use my dryer cleaner rod to move the wires around.🤪
Very Nice.... Boat ⛵... Captain Tim.....Is this is the vessel... coming to Andros Greece.... I'll definitely be here waiting for you.....All The Very Best Regards and Love.....to Your Beautiful Beloved Ones and Family... George and Irene Stouraites!!!
Hi Captain Tim, We look forward to seeing you guys Friday night at the Annapolis Sailboat Show! Thank you for video! It has some great tips. We will definitely order the Solenoid and the Cable Pulling Fish Tape Kit from your Amazon store. Bill & Bell L
A thermocouple has a small diameter, like 1/8 - 3/16". A thermopile is made up of many thermocouples wired in series internally and are typically about 1/2" in diameter.
That UNI-T meter is great, I have a couple and I love them. I don't know your setup with the dinghy, but you might find interesting the Weaver Snap Davits that Aquaholic installed on his boat and dinghy. It's on his 2023 Upgrades video.
Solder seal connectors may be convenient and watertight but the lack of a mechanical crimp connection means that in the event that the wire gets hot enough to melt the low temp solder the connection may fail. Better to use a product like Heat-Shrink DuraSeal Butt Splices. You end up with a strong mechanical crimp connection and heat shrink with adhesive making a watertight seal that won’t come apart due to high temp.
Thank you for watching. I am not sure that I mind the connection failing if it gets hot enough to melt the solder. Better a dead circuit than a fire. CUOTO
It's a purely mythical scenario though, because there is no physical way for the wire strands to separate inside of a heat shrunk tube to make a bad connection in the first place. (even with molten solder it would still make a connection)
Thank you for watching and welcome to the channel. Yes. IP says in their manual that the hull starts to lose efficiency after herling more than 20 degrees. CUOTO
Enjoyed seeing you guys sailing.
