Fun Fact: Matt Frewer is contractually obligated to appear in every science fiction tv show since the 80's because of this. It has do with multi universes and the SGA.
Not sure about EVERY scifi show, but he played Berlinghoff Rasmussen in the ST:TNG episode "A Matter of Time", as well as portraying Sherlock Holmes in 4 TV movies.....
Swear I have been searching for this version... and i told ppl there is an extended version but at times this version was something like Mandela effect I knew it existed and I heard it but I couldn't never find it! Glad its here!
This is the only version I've ever heard so this is what was on the lp cassette. Guess I'm lucky! The Art of Noise was freaking awesome. I wish they would reunite. For ANYTHING.
Remembered when this came out. Working in record store. Freshman year of high school till after first year of university 5 years in the 1981 to 1986 music scene! Best ever!
Back in 1989, this song would be played on the P.A. system at our high school football games during football games. We went 10 and 2 that year with a close regional final loss to the Christiansburg Blue Demons.
Orphan Black drew me back to this video when they introduced Matt Frewer to the series. They even had the funny lines in the background at Dr. Leekie lecture in episode 1.06 to tip the cap to Max Headroom.
The graphics, illustrations, and all the computers seen in the series were made with a computer Amiga 1000, one of the first models that succeeded the Commodore 128, with great graphics capabilities for the time. In the credits of the series it is seen the reference to the mentioned company of micro computers.
No, actually they were not. Max is a made up Matt Frewer, and the effects are all done on the Avid Desk. The Amiga may have been used for some backgrounds to the music vids.
Someplace on the internet I ran across a video of Frewer in his Max Headroom regalia being spun around on an office swivel chair while being filmed. The result is scenes like at 5:58 in this video. Highly amusing!
I mean I'm from dead center pp. Of this Never my favorite song but in this environment now it is my new life mantra song rings in my head every 5 seconds but let's talk about moments in Love hello
If you never got to hear or dance to this playing loud in a club, you missed out. It felt amazing.
What a great song!!!
Everyone who listens to this gets a gold star for being such a cool music listene
Thank you

The 80's was great. This is the absolute prof. I also know because I was lucky enough to be a teen in the 80's. I love it. Thank you.
Hearing this at the Paradise Garage was one of the musical highlights in my life. Mind blowing.
Art of Noise are the embodiment of the 80s club scene - fantastic!
Such a great piece of my childhood. Thanks Matt Frewer for taking this on.

The Paranoid Remix is better than this one and a bit more rare
Still sounds as fresh and elevant as the day it was released. . . . and smokes *any* of the bilge released today. No drugs required.
This transcends genre, time and concept.
Played this all the time when I club Dj ed , it worked then as well as now ! The Voice of X T C ! Still Kickin it since " 74 " !

Dead center new wave what a life we have
Still random and crazy after 30 years. Love it!
Damn the 80’s were cool. I was there & I didn’t realise at the time. Give this a like so I know I’m not tttttalking to myself🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was there, i new it was cool.
Hats off to Max Headroom, the original A.I. !!
The Eighties! So glad I was around!
Back in 1989, this song would be played on the P.A. system at our high school football games during football games. We went 10 and 2 that year with a close regional final loss to the Christiansburg Blue Demons.
Love this!! As I tell my new friends…….you had to be there!
Song is decades ahead of it's time. Art of Noise must have spent too much time with Marty McFly.
Kraftwerk too
Almost everything that came out of 80s America, in terms of music, movies etc. is probably the best in creativity in all of human history
@@mateuszorlinski7334 Kraftwerk very much
please....Trevor Horn was brilliant with no help or inspiration from Kraftwerk. Try 10cc.
@@artv.9989 Art of noise are British.

I love max headroom he's amazing wow the 80s have great fun
Thank you thank you I was looking for the extended version
This extended version is utterly psychotic.
i have always assoicated it with a psychotic episode
Max Headroom....to think i used to believe that he really was computer generated!
Nope, just the rubbery weirdness that is Matt Frewer.
That's because we used to be awesome back then.
He needed the process power of the complete building iirc. my C64 would've been far too weak rofl.
To me his speech does sound synthesised.
@@bt4350 Still is.

Music video producer: What effects do you want?
Art of Noise: All of 'em
why yes...as it happens, it's now 20 minutes into the future and you're still perfect...
"But will I still be perfect tomorrow?"

Did not know an extended version existed, just downloaded it.
first time i heard this was on cassette tape back in late '80s early '90s and it was mixed with the club song "Hit and Run".
what is a casette? is it like a co-operative republican?
Poor Gen z doesn't know. Its a reel to reel in a plastic case.
Would like to have heard that.
2021 near 2022 and still a top tune!
Sick mu...sick mu...sickmusicmusic 🥰
A masterpiece in music history. By the way: Who‘s afraid of The Art Of Noise? Still and in the year 2023?
Will I still be perfect tomorrow
A great project of '80....
When I was in high school, when I first attained the word 'insane' in my vocabulary, Max Headroom came to my mind first!😀😅😆😄
1:28 when his voice gets high enough he sounds like Yoshi's tongue move from Super Mario 64.
This was unreal !! super stuff!!!!👈😀🎼🎼🎼👌
Danke einfach nur Supi 😊❤❤❤Gruß Michael
Absolutely Balearic, Delicatessen, Deep, Smooth, Powerful, Pure & Fine Sound!
Amazing that Max never started a Podcast. He was there on the ground level in those early days.

is the room getting smaller? :D
no, it's the actor Matt Frewer who plays Max Headroom!
There's that Osborne as a cartoonists impression with a sensible haircut for something different, being as incessantly inane as usual
