She also comments frequently about drinking bone broth for the protein content and health benefits. If she just ate what she cooks, she would not have any issue with obtaining protein.
Totally agree about "the look". HBH did not have that look years ago when I first started following. But it's totally in your face now.🥺 One of my closest friends has struggled severely in the past with an ED. The look is the exact same.
8:28 ellen fisher has mentioned her eldest boy is obsessed with cooking i alwyws thought it was weird bc he was just a tot at the time and suspected it was indivacatice of the starvation diet and obsession with food
Could be, would be sad if that's the case. I would never ever make my kids vegan. They are going to be getting full fat yogurt, real milk, chicken, cheese, eggs... all the good stuff for their development.
@@flowwithchlo amazing agreed, tbh I don't think her kids are even vegan anymore. at one point she mentioned how they tried to destroy all of her camera equipment. doesn't sound like a positive home environment
Thank you for noticing this. One of my best friends growing up and her 3 sisters/fam were on a strict macrobiotic diet. They were hungry ALL the time no matter how much of their mom’s food they scarfed down. They’d take their allowance and buy candy it was so coveted bc it was forbidden. When I see Ellen’s kids hovering around the blender anxiously awaiting whatever slop she’s blending/in the kitchen I have flashbacks to my friends-never mistake a child’s hunger for love of slop-kids so hungry will eat anything if that’s the only choice they have. Here’s to these beautiful children’s long term health and wellness and to their parents’ healing, too if this is what drives their relationships with food-ED/disordered eating-tough stuff.
I can't believe this doesn't have more views, one thing that sticks out to me is her trips to places, (nyc, overseas etc) you NEVER see her eating a single thing, she is food blogger. She never shows a plate of food that she orders out, she shows other people's food on the table. you never see her trying any food, her food, restaurants food, she shows her starbucks black americano and hot water. Now I would never expect the average person I follow to show all meals or show themselves stuffing their face, but I have never seen this food blogger so much as try any food recently
yep...I used to use her recipes but honestly I can't do it anymore...makes me so sad...she's talented and love her recipes but I hate knowing she likely needs help and could be triggering so many
Ya I just feel weird now supporting her work, not cause she is going through this (cause I have so much empathy for her), but because she is not being genuine with her followers. Making all this food and not tasting it even doesn't make me trust the product.
It's so crazy this video came up on my page, because I literally just listened to Tiegan on a podcast the other day. I went to her Instagram and was quite shocked. I have sympathy for her on one hand because I am dealing with being underweight due to digestive issues, (in which I am working closely with my doctor for), but on the other hand - it seems odd that she gets VERY defensive when the subject is brought up to her or like you said, she simply doesn't respond to comments. I think her audience would completely understand if she simply responded in SOME way..even if she just said, "Hey - I understand your concern, this is something I am working through with my family/doctor, etc."
Ya I feel sympathy for her though cause it's hard to first admit it to yourself but then also to admit it to 5.3 million followers! She is in a really tough position but I do think that because her work is so closely tied with health it's important for her to maintain honesty in her work.
Urg I've seen her stuff on Insta. So in these types of videos I would like to know what you guys want to see. What could I talk about that would bring value to others here. I don't want to do a trash talk think but do think there are things that need to be brought up so not opposed to doing it!
I definitely fell into her videos when trying to “recover”. I think where her content is damaging is she is really good at presenting her disordered habits as “healthy”. I’ve even seen some older videos of hers where she was saying this was a great way to heal from eating disorders. I think a video contradicting her statements and bringing light to her unhealthy habits would have been really helpful for me during that time. I also think it’s unethical for someone like her to be making money off of her ill-advised nutrition advice and shedding light on this could be really powerful.
And she HAS responded to these comments btw!!! But she gets hundreds & thousands of comments about her body. She’s not going to answer them all….How would you feel if someone kept commenting on your body?
What has she said? Mind sharing? I scrolled for a while and didn't see any responses! Like I said though, I don't agree with people commenting on this, which is why I didn't comment. She is going to have to figure out her own journey and all we can hope for is that she has loving family and friends who will help her if she needs. I have been there and it's hard, she probs feels very uncomfy and is going through a lot.
Cause I’m averaging 11-13 calls a day and literally don’t even have a moment to think these days 😮 Things have been extremely busy and UA-cam is always the first to go😢 But soon!!!
I watched her video on Harper’s Bazzar (what I eat in a day) and she admittedly eats very small portions and eats particularly healthy meals. Most people who eat like a bird are very small. I had an ED so I feel you, but some people can just eat small portions and still be healthy. Idk, people should prob be cautious about judging.

She claims she has social anxiety. Such BS. She doesn't eat and she's all over the place. And her food is MEH

Also really appreciate your content! You have truly helped and inspired me in my recovery journey!
Happy to hear it!! I will look into this girl and see what value I can bring by chatting about tit!@@brittknee3890
I’m just trying to figure out how can you insure what you are making is good? I’m a southern cook from scratch girl-tasting along the way-I’m fluffy😜
Did you just make fun of her voice? In a video that is supposed to support body positivity? What the...
She was so much prettier in before pic
Health as a certain glow to it that is irreplaceable.
She is more than a before/after pic though...

Her response to any comment about her obvious illness is to publicly shame them on stories and call them "haters"@@flowwithchlo
Hey hey, why don’t you do a Christmas video?
