Jason, you are a magician and a real gem. I've been absolutely blown away by a couple of your videos. Easiest decision I've made to buy your formula. Thanks for sharing the genius at a low and very worthwhile price. I have been watching all the guides showing different ways to make a paint, and none of them have worked for me.

This is very helpful. I just started electroforming and in the past 24hrs have spilled my little conductive pot twice (in different locations). Thought there has to be a (better) recipe somewhere and came across this video....and now have purchased 3 of your instructional videos.

Just placed my order yesterday and I'm so looking forward to using it. I'm really interested in the detail you're able to capture. In other lessons I've seen, the paint was thick and needed 2 (or more) coats. With brushing it on, waiting time and losing a lot of the detail, the results looked ok, but nothing like what you've shown in the demo. It's worth it just for time saved alone....was searching a long time for a thinner paint formula.
For anyone hesitating because of materials and availability - I can order them no problem from Canada (for the conductive paint formula). Thanks so much for sharing what you've learned, hopefully it leads to a lot of fabulous possibilities! = )

Thanks for all the information man! I purchased this recipe and have emailed you questions a few times with no response. 1st... no pre-sealing necessary anymore if using this recipe with organics right? 2nd... can you advise amounts of the bonding for strengthening an object? Insects, leaves and such come out too delicate after plating for me to work with. Thanks!

Keep in mind, when reading high resistances, holding the leads to the item with your fingers produces a false reading, because you are conductive. Were it otherwise, lightening would not be a danger to you.

I have purchased several of your information packs on First Density Materials and have a few questions which I have sent to First Density Materials and yourself personally and it’s over 2 weeks now with no reply so I would appreciate a response please.

I'm trying to find a way to create a pitted surface that I can then copper plate. Was thinking of putting salt in the conductive paint then when dry lightly sanding the surface to expose the salt and then dissolving the salt out with water leaving a pitted surface. The problem is salt dissolves in one of the components of your conductive paint. Any suggestions on what I could replace that component with?

Since you're a bit mad (i.e., mad scientist), I'll share my "I don't know what the heck I'm doing, but I'll try it" experiment for you to consider:
I use a gallon or larger container and don't bother surrounding items with my anode (e.g., copper wire) material. Part of this is because, as stated in the video, it dissolves. This may mean I have to replace the whole thing because it thinned out in the middle of a coil.
First, I try to put my anode material in a polypropylene bag, which catches a lot of the debris rolling off the anode and which, otherwise, would settle on the bottom of the tank.
For an experiment, I drill about a seventy holes in a sports bottle and filled it with the scraps from my worn anodes. I ran a 6 gauge rod down into the mess and placed the bottle full of copper scraps in the poly bag. It works, but still eats at the 6 gauge wire too, but I just push it in farther until I have to chop it up and make it part of the scrap collection. I replace it with a new rod, but I only have to have one long enough enough to go to the bottom of the bottle and to project up out of the solution, so I can attach a lead to it.
The lumberjocks woodworking web sight shows some of the wood turnings I've plated using my far from an expert approaches: www.lumberjocks.com/projects/348297
PS I'll be ordering the product of your experiments, if only to contribute to keeping you going.
