    interesting video, It's always wonderful to see someone making beautiful jewelry. I was however a bit confused over the narrator saying these designs are hers, or implying the technique is. It's been around from before she was born. I have a pendant I bought about 30 years ago at a art fair very much like the stick with the crystal on it. As far as the nastier comments on here, any jewelry that is made by someone that takes the time and care to make it is an artist. Not everyone likes a stone in the middle of ring surrounded by Pave' diamonds. Her jewelry is lovely.

      Thank you so much for your feedback! I didn’t say anything about that I invent this technique. It’s very obvious that everything was created before us.
      But it’s like we do have just 7 notes, but we create absolutely unique melodies from combining them.
      So that I try to do:)

    Why she stated this as her own idea?
    I have the same pendant for more than 20 years

    The technique to make copies with a mold by metal depositing is called electrotyping, electroplating is developing a layer of metal on a metal object and electroforming is similar to electroplating, but metal can be deposited on organic objects by coating them in a conductive material like graphite and the metal coating developed is usually much thicker. All techniques require a direct electric current through a chemical solution. You can combine it with other jewelry techniques, but this artist does only one of many.

      Would be worth to say that in video I use word «гальванопластика» and in this language we don’t have analogies. You can translate it both ways as a electoforming and electroplating.

    Isn't electroforming a fast cheap and easy way to make jewellery? I would like to make jewellery this way but I am concerned the quality of these pieces aren't really good compared to jewellery made the proper traditional way.

    • @amyrenee_satoriousdesigns
      @amyrenee_satoriousdesigns 5 років тому +4

      No it is not fast and to do it right, it takes hours to get a proper plate. Defiantly not cheap and you need a machine to conduct a current and it is not easy as there are many steps to get something done. The jewelry not made by an craftsman’s artist, I would not trust at all. If it is cheap, I bet it is made in China and has lead or crap in it!

      it doesn't take much to learn this technique. Learning the proper way to make real jewelry takes years. Apples and oranges.

      I’m afraid it’s not comparable.
      It’s like we call “art” some oil paintings, but also performance.
      So here is the same. We call it jewellery, but it’s different.
      It would be worth to say that I’m completely responsible for the quality of my jewellery.
      We could associate electroplating with cheap jewellery from Thailand and China, with thin layer of metal, but we can use same technology for making something different.
      Sure it’s not titanium. But it’s very durable items with proper care.

    It sounds like it takes a long
    time. I don't know how she
    even makes any money. She
    must charge thousands of
    dollars for every piece of
    jewelry she sells if she has
    to spend hours electroplating
    each leaf and may have to it
    over and over again a dozen
    times to get it right!

    • @WonderWorldJewellery
      @WonderWorldJewellery 8 місяців тому

      Not even an hours, it’s days of work:)
      That’s why and exactly that’s why I don’t call it business. Maybe it’s an art?
      Art it’s sometimes something not logical and you do this because you have to do this. And not everyone will like it, or understand, or count as something meaningful, but for you it’s meaningful. And for someone else could be.

    and the leaf will rot inside??

    • @skateranddancer
      @skateranddancer 5 років тому +2

      M AT yes, it decomposes. It is a single leaf. It will become dirt and dust.

    • @troebeliewoep
      @troebeliewoep 4 роки тому +1

      Maybe, but decomposition needs air that can come in contact with the leaf. I dont know if air can penetrate the copper lining

    • @soffsoff6574
      @soffsoff6574 Рік тому

      it doesn't rot as there's no oxygen to rot it if sealed correctly. Some people do dead bugs like this.

    I don't think she's talented or innovative. She just picks leaves, branches, and flowers, then sprays them with electrically conductive ink (Graphite), and then puts them in a copper plating bath.she just hacked the nature.

      The Le Page workshop just because it’s easier than your form of jewelry making doesn’t mean it’s not a skill or beloved and beautiful! I love the natural variations. A lot if artists say the same thing about photography, but getting the right artistic composition is its own skill as well.
