Rainforest Hike to 2000m Peak in CHILLY and GORGEOUS Malaysia (Hiking the Cameron Highlands)

- There are times in life when you visit a place, you think "Hey, its so beautiful!" and then 7 days later you're happy enough to head back home... THIS is not one of those places. For me, the Cameron Highlands elicit reactions more along the lines of "Honey, can we live here... like, forever? This place is just incredible!"
Not least because of how much this area reminds me of where I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya, the Cameron Highlands of Central Malaysia are a truly wonderful environment to behold. If you do have the chance to visit this part of Thailand, hey, wait a minute :) This is what YOU said to ME when we told you that we were going to visit Malaysia... So, I guess I should instead say, Thank You to all of you who recommended this amazing place, and again most of all thank you to our friends who gave us the chance to stay here (at their place) so long in the first place!
We love this part of the world, there's still one more video to come, but first I hope you LOVE trekking around a bit in the jungle with Li and I today - a really special place, and our first visit to a real rainforest together!

@@JoelsTastyRide yes our rainforest both in borneo and peninsula are the old tropical rainforest(130 to 140m years old). Because amazon is about 10 to 55m year old. The oldest daintree rainforest is queensland australia at 180m years old.

Cameron Highlands is known for its many tropical rainforest hiking trails. Also the moss you felt going up is endemic to Cameron Highlands being at the heart of the tropics belt line. Thailand is above that line, so it doesnt get the same vegetation. The Mozzy Forest trail in the Cameron Highlands has an almost Lost World type feel with moss and mist surrounding the forest at a certain elevation. Its very cold and damp there and feels mysterious. A perfect setting for horror movies and the sort 😉 Btw, Green tree is sold at the next door tea farm, the Boh Tea farm up the Cameron Highlands.
What a great message, I really mean that. Even after trips to the south of time and I was still amazed at how different it was, thanks for more details and I can really appreciate the memories even more. I took so many drone photos and drone videos just for my own enjoyment, that’s one of the first times I have ever done that :-) usually it’s just for the videos ha ha

That trail was amazing! It reminded me of climbing the Grouse Grind in Vancouver, so steep 😃The 360 camera was perfect for that.
I need to go find this trail, that’s a hilarious name 😃 man I love this because it’s always one more reminder to appreciate things BOTH now (of which we have a lot!) and also our memories in the past (of which you have a lot I know!!!). Fun in the moment but also, we need to remember to focus on things in the moment because then in the future when we come back to enjoy and relive, tell stories and imagine together, the details can be so much more vivid and the experience almost doubles in its value. Steven thank you for this camera again, I was loving it! I really was loving it :-) you can see a few of those shots would be completely impossible for any other camera short of a ridiculous (heavy!) custom made $2 million Rig

wow the forest walk is amazing,just in aprroximate area you were able to encounter quite amount of rare plant species sitting side by side almost,,just by watching I could feel and breath the freshest cool air.

I must confess when I first started to watch the videos I watched silently for a long time, never commenting but I was always drawn to your posts, and absolutely blown away by your incredible generosity!
