- Here is a little jam session performed by Tanya O'Callaghan and her friends.
They played a cool groovy version of classic track "Pink Panther Theme" by Henry Mancini. Check it out!

Speaking of great drummers, Don Menza wrote some amazing big band charts for Buddy Rich's band. I had no idea about the connection between he and Nick. Thanks for connecting those dots for me.

Nope, sorry, man. Plas John Johnson Jr. (born July 21, 1931) is an American soul-jazz and hard bop tenor saxophonist, probably most widely known as the tenor saxophone soloist on Henry Mancini’s "The Pink Panther Theme".
This is dope my Dad was a bassist with a pink Panther tattoo and he had a version he would play! He passed away 3 years ago but this brings back memories

As a Bass player for 8 years, I think My opinion is more valid.
This Young Lady has got incredible skills and so do her band mates, I play Rock/Metal but talent recognises talent but it dont come easy, practice and dedication and She has done done both.
Well that was just friggin awesome.
Wasn't so sure about the initial bass tone, but then I realized that she's adjusting the treble cut/boost throughout the song (tone gets more distinct/modern as the song continues).
I actually really like this arrangement. Lots of talent here - I need to pick up the bass and practice more! Best thing about this, though, is how she smiles as she's playing. I love the fact that she really enjoys the music and the act of playing; it's a breath of fresh air and reminds me of what it used to feel like to have a really good jam.

Very few bass players use 'harmonics' as part of their performance delivery. Well done. Obviously Whitesnake based their hiring of O'Callaghan on her righteous jazz chops. A talent that is missing in most modern rock bands, yet it is still the foundation (along with R and B, soul, country and western) which makes lasting rock and roll music. This is a new 21st century take on the beloved "Pink Panther' theme. Very well played.

Fantasy and rythm, a standard classic effortlessy reviewed with lots of talent. The power of "tempo terzinato" gives its effects. I've enjoyed it a lot, "jazzy" enaugh. Nice, really nice as good as played.
DAMN! On my 4th replay (checking out that lever swap I missed first 3 times around :-) You only have to look at Tanya’s big smile in the last few frames and you’ll see the exhilaration we all feel when EVERYONE has just nailed it. This is why you practice (separately) and rehearse (collectively) to be able to pull these acrobatics off - hopefully in only ONE take. Thank you band mates for crushing this little diddy and pushing it forward to inspire the noobs !

This is fantastic! This is their version in a different tempo, more jazzified. They obviously have a high regard for the original and respect it but they are using their talent to give us a extremely well done act by doing their version. If critics wanted Tanya & Company to copy the original as is, then Critics, please go and listen to the original.
