These vlogs get better and better if possible ...thank you for showing us the inside of Tramp ..if walls could talk ..it had somehow a decadent air ...I've walked past Tramp a dozen times and never realised it was on Jermyn Street ...Dickens museum is on my 'to do' list ...I am a member of a walking group that explores parts of London I would never have noticed ...your fashion sense is so fantastic and you would have fitted right into the Mary Quant scene ..your Mum, Mathilda and Worthing ...heart warming ...thanks so much ..and your decication to Eileen ...very very moving!
Hi Jo - Lovely words about your friend. Ageless, optimistic are words I'd like said about me after all is done...but not for a while :) Lovely sunny days in London. Your mother looks and sounds in wonderful form. Have a great week!!
Quiet Saturday and I’m backtracking on some of your vlogs. Did love this one because of the Dickens Museum and the chance to see all the beautiful surrounding buildings. I’m a sucker for beautiful architecture (do some hosting for the local National Trust). My list of places to visit in London is growing. Hopefully I can make it happen when we come through to the other side.
Hello Jo, I have only recently started listening to you on the radio, although I know your show has been on for some time. If that other lot didn`t go on about Brexit constantly I might never have given you a fair listen. But as a 60 year old bloke I just love your warmth and enthusiasm, that really comes across and you can`t fake it. That interview you did today with that man who spent 30 years on death row was jaw-dropping, it brought a tear to my eye and you allowed him to reveal so much in your gentle style of interviewing. I`m a fan for life now Jo, you brighten up my working day.
Loved this weeks VLOG Jo and yes you did look lovely in the final section - blue really suits you. Still miss you and Simon on a Saturday morning - not the same now. Have a good week and take care. David
another charming Vlog , full of great topics , loved the visit to the Charles Dicken’s house and the privilege of the viewing of his portrait in his younger day .fabulous . loved seeing Mutti an Matilda at Worthing, I was last in Worthing more than 50yrs ago love Worthing , Mary Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you, dear Jo. Glad you were able to show us the Dickens portrait as I'd listened to the radio interview and wondered what he was like in his thirties. I must visit the museum. Lovely to see your mum and Matilda mucking about by the sea. Your enthusiasm shines through. Thanks again for sharing
I’m still binging, but this one I had to remark on. I also went to Tramp (once) many decades ago my friend and I were waiting outside to get in and long story short Bill Wyman was going in and invited us to come in with him. We were impressed and found out an old friend of our was a DJ there named Fitz. We had a super time, I ended up taking something home, yes it was an ashtray which I still have to this day. Oh to be that young again..........🤗🇨🇦
Another great video Jo you make London look so enticing to visit. Really love the coat your wearing for Eileen’s funeral. That colour blue really suits you!
Boy, oh boy!..Tramp is so small!....Worthing -a place my Mum loved too but I have yet to visit...It's now on my list for a day out soon.... Such a lovely thing to do - to attend Our Eileen's funeral, to represent all of us from her BBC Radio London family and to dedicate this vlog in her memory. x
So loved this Vlog mixture, Mummy, Charles, done lots of walks re. him, so will try for the museum,Tramps, and the unforgettable Eileen what else can you want, oh er Jo's haircut so much better than the crinkle set, well done Lady keep up the good work. Spent many a school hols on Worthing Beach due to Aunt/Uncle living there, sadly years later Uncle died in his car looking out to sea at the Brighton Marina, the sea was his passion.
Another brilliant vlog....and glad to see the numbers growing !! and remember the vlogger who ended up competing on Strictly ! Jo, you should consider it ....and what a lovely way to remember dear Eileen may she RIP
Congratulations, another fantastic vlog. It’s always a great mix, like a stylish, fun, London-centred magazine. Eilen from West Dulwich will be missed. (And your ‘new’ hair suits you perfectly!).💐
Yes, I think you meant Mandy Rice-Davies in Tramp, rather than Mandy Smith (the latter being much more of a scandal than the former...). Great clothes and hair, fascinating juxtaposition of events. You are morphing into your mum, Jo - which is a big compliment!
Keep up the good work Jo. Loved this. You are now my favourite vlogger. Hooked, attached addicted, OBSSESSED. love from beautiful but not London, Vancouver.....
Great vlog as always. Your mum looks really well. Like the comment before me I agree Saturday mornings are not the same without you and Simon. Have a fun week 😁
Hi another great week. Tramps looked stunning inside, never been. Your hair is fabulous now, the length and style. Beautiful coat for Eileen’s funeral. Lovely to see you again with your mother, you have such a special relationship.x
I did not make the most of being at university in Bloomsbury in the 1970s - something I regret now! But I loved going to My Old Dutch for pancakes - thanks for the reminder Jo. x
was it Mandy Rice rather than Smith ? Great video again...your hair is looking so cool really suits you...you always inspire me to wear more funky clothes..love your style Jo :)))
great work Jo, you still need a little wind cover tho ! then we can hear your lovely voice in the wind, youtube homemade wind cover for cameras, i did tweet you one ? great vlog great radio show.
@@MiddleAgedMinx dear Jo! Anytime when you're free! Have a very exciting event coming up starting next Saturday at Maritime Museum in Greenwich about rubbish in our oceans, I'm walking around finding rubbish, talking to people about it and then making headpieces out of it 😊 I'm doing 4 Saturdays April - May and then the big Ocean's Day event on 8th June. Also painting a lion for Lions of Windsor sculpture trail, that's also now, he's going up in summer! Sorry couldn't figure out how to private message you here on UA-cam 😂 my email is hello@annakompaniets.com 😊 xxx
I cleaned the dirt off my Sony p&s censor by using a friend’s wet vacuum !!!! I looked it up on UA-cam & they suggested you place the end of the vacuum hose over the 📷 open lens (turn it on) .. worked perfectly.. better than shelling out $700 Cdn.@Sony lab 😊
Enjoyable as ever. I'm not up on birdwatching but think that was an owl, not a hawk, unless there is something called an owlhawk that I haven't heard of. Good idea, haven't seen them before. I was once at a pub with a large eating area outside and the tables had these strange objects hanging above them. I asked what they were and was told that they were imitation wasp nests. Wasps do not like to encroach on the territory of those from another nest for fear of attack so it keeps them away from drinkers and diners, in theory anyway....seemed to be working.
We have a fake heron overlooking our little fish pond. Has worked for years but this year saw the funniest site with a real one trying to creep up behind it, so slowly and stopping. You couldn't tell the real one from the fake as it was so still eyeing the other up. If I was clever enough I could add the picture. But wouldn't have a clue how to add it on here. x
@@kimthom5793 Wow. That must be a really impressive imitation heron. Many years ago as a child our old neighbour had all his goldfish taken from his pond by a heron. They were very rare in London then. Now they are commonplace, near the river anyway. Glad yours are being well guarded!
Oh! Jo, you are such a peacock. Wherabouts is that camera shop, my camera needs some attendance. Miss you so much on Saturday mornings. The Grants are so sterile and characterless, bless them.
Jo they aren't vlogs, they are like docs, huge varierty, you are getting even more adds, soon when you are vloging, it will stop to play an add, which is annoying, but it shows how successful your becoming on here , lots X

Love the dialogue between you and your mum. More please. You are so alike! In looks and temperament.💕
Wow Jo ! 18.20 minutes this week of pure joy, and you should reward yourself with a treat every day because you deserve one.Thank you.

I've heard about the fake herons. Good to hear that they work. What did the real heron do in the end?
Well it eventually got alongside the fake, eyed it up for a while (suppose to see if it was scared) and you can guess who flew first!
