@@flylikealbatross7441 Um, no. They don't use the stechschritt, they don't wear Prussian style brocade belts, they wear 90% berets. They don't even use Prussian-German cockades on their hat, I've only seen one type and its only used on officer hats. Most of their hats don't follow the traditional shape of Prussian/Imperial German Army/Reichswehr
/Wehrmacht hat designs. Some of their uniforms look like janitor uniforms. The locals have done a much better job, they actually wear traditional Prussian uniforms with their own local design.

@@Rustycaddy17 Rustycaddy The Stechschritt is not in use by light infantry in which tradition the Bundeswehr is (Lützower Jäger). They also used barrets btw so tge barrets are traditional. Additionally Stechschritt is totally outdated and only a load to the soliders.
The pickelhaube was also not in use by the nazis which you say were so troaditional.
The crocade is also not used on the pickelhaube. But it is on the Bundeswehrs Schiffchen, Tellermütze and Schirmmütze.
The current helmet follows the line of the M16 and M35 helmet and unifies the best of all helmet technology.
Brocadebelts are something I ve never seen. Maybe you can inform me on that.
Additionally the Bundeswehr existed loger than any other German army so it has its right to have its own traditions. Let that sink in.

@@flylikealbatross7441 I never said anything about the pickelhaube, don't know why you even brought that up. I am aware berets were used in the Prussian Army, but very rarely. The problem here is the fact that the Bundeswehr uses too many berets. There are hundreds of traditional hats and helmets to choose from, and they decide to use mostly berets, which is pathetic. I also forgot to mention, the Bundeswehr also doesn't use the Paradeschritt
. While the Bundeswehr remains as the oldest German army as of right now, it is ridiculous to ignore the traditions of the previous armies. In fact, the Bundeswehr and the Volksarmee were both successors to the Wehrmacht, which in turn was the direct successor of the Reichswehr, which was a successor of the Imperial German Army, which as you know, was the successor of the legendary Prussian Army. The brocade belts were worn since the Prussian Army, even the Volksarmee used these beautiful belts, while it is completely absent in today's Bundeswehr.

"Schützenvereine" were founded in the 18th century in the "Befreiungskriege" against Napoleon. They were basically Militias which every city had. After the franco-germanic-wars they kept their traditions and do shooting as a sport. Nearly every german village has one. Once a year they meet and shoot on a paper pheasant. The one who shoots it down is the "Schützenkönig". He pays for the big party "The Schützenfest". The parade you can see here are for his honour. So not real military anymore, but civilians.

There are many Schützenvereine Germany. They originated from centuries before and have been the local home defence. Each of the uniforms here reperesent a other club who pay tribute to a old served member who was in a top level organisation. They today usually have one week in the year were they hold their club ceremonies with a lot of parading, drinking and dancing.
The most typical uniform is white trousers and a green jacket the blue ones are mostly originated from Prussian reservists. The medals and tisel are awarded by shooting competitions - on a wooden bird high above and the one who shots it down is the club king for the season - this gives much honour but also hughe bills (usually min 5.000) for drinks who have to be spend. The anual ball is the highlight for the womans - full evening dress.

John Morrison It‘s a shooter‘s Club, commonly founded during the napoleonic wars to organise volunteers. They had their own uniforms and ranks. The „Lützower Jäger“ even used black, red and gold on their uniforms. These volunteer-regiments formed Clubs after the war to stay trained if they were needed again and so this tradition was created.

Since the unification in 1990, Germany is an souvereign country, who has every rights, except to own nuclear weapons and to claim territory that was formerly German. Germany is now part of the NATO and an ally of the US. Italy was allied with the British and the US since 1943 so there was nothing like a special treatment.

These are civil marksmen/shooting clubs! An old german tradition since the napoleonic wars.
      The Bundeswehr has prussian traditions:
      - Drill
-Light Infantry(thats why they dont goose step)
-Barrets(1st used in the Napoleonic Wars)
-Uniforms(field-grey), (Marine and Air Force uniforms are basicly the same as the Wehrmacht/ Reichswehr ones)
      -Rifle(Karrabiner K 98K)
      -Marching Music
-Wachbattalion("guard batalion", prussian "1. Garderegiment zu Fuß" )
If you think that goose stepping or wearing a Pickelhaube/Stahlhelm are the only prussian traditions than you should probably shut your mouth because you dont have any idea.
Greetings from a former german soldier🇩🇪
